We test drove the preferred and ended up with the preferred plus. Big difference in handling & ride especially as a front seat passenger. The power passenger front seat in the preferred plus was a deal sealer for the Mrs.

What is the difference in the ride? I thought it was the same powertrain unless you go into Turbo S

Love what this thing represents. However, it’s very disappointing to see they don’t have parking sensors or tilt in reverse mirrors on such a large suv. We’ll see what comes in 2025 but not holding my breath 🙁

They do have it, just not in this model. To have parking sensors you currently need to have a Premium or higher trim.

The lack of tilt in reverse mirrors IS a feature I miss, even in my Premium Plus trim.

I have the tilt in reverse feature on my Premium Plus. You can turn it on and off.

It has an option for captains chairs for 7 or bench for 8.

thanks for the review. i have a question, will the high plus ful/opt will come with tan leather seats in the future with full second raw instead of 2 captin steats? you know this car is good for big families as well . thanks

Unfortunately, you will only be able to get bench seat in lower trims.

Don’t know if they are actually the best (and I own what is now the most expensive Mazda you can buy) but they ARE making some nice driving vehicles that punch above their weight class for a reasonable cost. I chose my Premium Plus CX90 PHEV because it gave me all the most important features of an Acura Advance model along with superior performance and far more superior gas mileage for 5 -6 thousand dollars less.

Yes it is. Mazda calls it a mild hybrid. There is an electric motor in between the engine and transmission in place of the torque converter.

I own a Preferred, so much i dislike about it, some i like...7600 miles, body is not as solid as i would like for a flagship vehicle. Paint is thin and the interior is not as comfortable as i thought it would be. Front collects rocks and chips paint really bad because its so wide and square.. Fuel mileage is incredible and the power of the drive train with the awd it sweet.... Although i like many aspects of the vehicle, i currently have it for sell, because in the beginning 1300 miles the dealer would not play fair in taking it back or switch to a premium package, so with that in mind, if i buy a new vehicle and the dealer wants me to take a $12000 hit to take it back i think that speaks volumes on how Mazda influence is...

I am a senior citizen, kiss my ass... i worked hard for over 55 years to provide, not that its any of your business, but to suggest that i am entitle if take offense to it...Yes, i made a mistake, but i also use to sell cars, i know how things work when dealers want to take something back, even with a Lemon law, which this car had some issues that they still can't get right. So, don't accuse me of entitlement, Its called taking care of your customers, No one at Mazda ever reached out to me after several communications. If you are going to fire off at least act like you know the facts... As for Entitlement, well, lol, leave that for the Woke and Young folk....

@@tonyallen4912 What you stated is the definition of entitlement. If you have had multiple instances of dealer not being able to fix the SAME ISSUE, then you SHOULD file a lemon claim against your car. As a car dealership owner, I have had my fair share of instances when some cars are just pure lemons, and get treated as such. However, you you want from the dealer is up TO YOU to demand. Nobody is going to give you something for free, especially when changing cars to get to a more premium trim would ultimately cost the dealer money.

@@MBZ-Nation definition???? My expectations are much higher than any dealer would ever have. I expect to get what i paid for, its not about the trim, it's about making a wrong right, why don't you stick to selling your cars and leave my problems to me. I will never buy a MAZDA again, biggest piece of over rated thin steel vehicle that i have ever owned in my life...Steering issuees, Brake noise, interior noise, all have been addressed and still no answers or fixes...... And stop with the entitled BS. That sounds like a liberal tag line!!!

At this point, I think Mazdas insistence on using so much ugly, unpainted plastic on their vehicles is actually to save them money on paint. Mazda is trying to cut corners everywhere, so this wouldn't shock me.

As a Mazda owner in Silicon Valley who actually makes use of the AWD in my new Mazda (several camping trips, off-road cabin vacations and hiking trips), I actually LIKE the cladding. I've taken my new Mazda over sand, snow, mud, ice, salted roads and rocky roads. So far, I don't have any noticeable blemishes in either the cladding or my paint. Although, yes, I hope that Mazda could develop a more premium-looking cladding, I must say that the cladding really does save your paint!

Actually, in colors like white and the color mentioned in the video I PREFER the cladding. Also, in the Turbo S models there is no cladding.

@@sheldonduffy9442 Looks like the Turbo S has cladding, but, it's painted body colour, which I prefer. The gray cladding just looks so down market to me.
