I think the chatter around Mikayla’s wedding is a testament to what happens when you’re dishonest and disingenuous with your audience. I don’t have a horse in the race because I’m not her target audience. However, I can see why the community thought that her wedding was sponsored and she was inviting influencers she’d never met. Dylan started that when she said it would be her first time meeting Mikayla in person. Plus, she chose to release a wedding video featuring the Elf goodie bags, etc. I do hope she was able to focus on her day and live in the moment.

Im there with you on drag race. The show has turned into a reality show, leaving the competition aspect behind. It is so over-produced that the queens dont really showcase much of their talents anymore. They are there at the whims of production, but they still market the show as a “competition” 🙄 The next drag superstar lately is not the most talented, but the best tv personality.

the Moulin Ru episode in season 14 is the best example of this. Like, Bosco fought Camden so hard for the Saltine role, and then of course she did a "bad" job, and oh ho ho, she got the golden chocolate bar. So overproduced and ridiculous.

Just want to commend you both for actually reviewing new makeup based on price point for what you’re getting. Some things are worth splurging for- but with everything sooo expensive we have to reevaluate what’s worth splurging on and pick majority of items based on a budget.

I have followed a good rule recently: if you're gonna get a higher end brand, be it skin products - a good foundation, a nice setting powder, the best concealer/color corrector, and a great setting spray. The rest, like eyeshadows, highlighter, brow products, can be on a budget (unless when you wanna treat yourself, then go for it). That saved so much money and brought me to nice surprises, since I've found great products with very affordable prices. The only exceptions are the limited editions from brands I love and trust, I'll pay whatever for them, because it's a collection item.

So sorta off topic, but I took y'all's advice about doing your eyebrows in different colors last episode. Nothing too crazy, but I got a lighter and darker brown eyebrow pencil and started doing them that way. Total difference and I'm loving it. But totally agree about this season of Drag Race All Stars. I was excited to see older season girls like Jessica, Jaymes, Darrien (who had the glow up of all glow ups!) Monica, and Kasha Davis. Once they all left, I stopped caring. I never got the Kandy hype, especially after that alien look. But as Trixie said, Kandy lost a long time ago and was asked to stay. Fight me.

100% right! Paco Rabanne and Drakkar Noir both were joked about in the early 90s. The scents weren't that bad, but teenage boys would practically bathe in them to counteract BO. The aroma was so strong it should have been labeled as an offensive weapon.

I’m actually excited about the new Natasha Denona palette. I hear what you’re saying about those tones being ashy, but as a cool toned lady a lot of the shades people praise as great neutrals look very orange-y against my skin which is not a look I love. It can actually be hard to find pinks and nudes that actually read as neutral against my skin tone, so I say bring it with the bruisey shades! They may not make for a broadly appealing palette, but truly cool toned peeps need staple palettes too and this one looks promising.

A few years ago, Flower Beauty came out with a four-pan eyeshadow kit named Black Iris. One shade, a murky purply-grey, made me buy the kit. I tried that color in combination with its palette mates; with other palettes; with a pigmented primer and with a clear primer... and every way possible. The only thing that came to mind was "Bruise." We have this reincarnated in the new ND mini. Thank you boys for your scathing honesty. I'm one who is not easily swayed by the brand name of products, and this one I think is a dog.
