Oh Donna, I love it when things like this happen and you keep calm and work out a way to safe the situation... gives us ideas of how to tackle such situation. It ended up being very pretty, Donna!! Hi Donna, this is just a suggestion. If you want a swirl in your cake, try adding the Jello to about a cup of batter in the powder form and then swirl it into your cake. 🥰

Thank you for this as I am getting ready to make my son his birthday strawberry cake and want to swirl the jello pudding. So I am going to put the pudding in the side batter and mix it up.

Hey Donna, here is another suggestion in case your cake sticks again. Make a thick glaze and put it on the cake first and then put the pieces in place. You just put the glaze only in the places where it stuck. It's like gluing it back together 😊. It's time-consuming, but it is worth the effort.

Hi Ms Donna I dearly love you and your Dude#1. My Mother was a wonderful baker and she would always run a butter knife around the sides of her cakes before she turned them out. Hey Mrs. Donna & Dude #, Don’t feel bad about the coconut, it’s understandable, you’re human and busy. See you redeemed yourself like I knew you would. Thanks for saying not to add too much water to the gelatin because somebody would have ended up with soupy gelatin and a wet cake. Even though it stuck to the pan, you’ll put the pieces in place like a puzzle, it will be fine.😂 I’m sure it’ll taste good anyway. Always enjoy your teachable moments & the learning process, even at my age.😂 I would probably put a few chopped pecans on mine. Blessings and thanks for the bake-along. Mrs. Donna, hi! Just a suggestion, the next time you put Jello in a cake how about using 4 cups of cake flour and 4 sticks of butter. Maybe if you don’t hit the bottom to release air bubbles it might not stick. This is only a suggestion that you can try and see if it helps it not to stick to the pain! Much love!

Hey Ms. Donna! I love how you do explain the procees in making each cake. When I saw the title of the video it immeditely made me think of the Hostess raspeberry zingers. I'm not a fan of the texture of coconut either, but for some reason as a kid I did like the rapsberry zingers. All of your cakes look scrumptious, especially looking at the texture of them plus you take your time and add some love to them. Watching you create these wonderful confections makes me miss my sister's cakes as she would do the same thing (experiment) when baking. I enjoy each and every video that I have watched. Be encouraged Ms. Donna and keep going. 💖

When you are using anything to swirl, fruit or jello, when you put the first set of batter in the pan, you can tap out air bubbles then. Don't tap on the bottom after you put the jello or fruit in the middle, as it will definitely sink to the bottom. Try it on your next cake. You still did good and it looks very delicious 😋 💜💜

Loved the video. Mistakes happen to me too and some times it tastes better. Another suggestion to mix the jello with some of the cake batter to have the same texture maybe that will keep it from stick'en. Have a great blessed day. Been there done that Miss Donna. I had a feeling that it might stick because of my own disasters. Mine come from my coconut pecan brown sugar filling that I've learned to put on the top never in the middle of the batter. It's still sometimes goes all the way down and sticks just a little but only a little. I thought that maybe you'd be okay when you sprayed it some more. One thing about it it doesn't mess up the flavor🤪
