Whelp. RIP Templar it was a fun 4 days LOL I have never encountered a more bugged spec. Good bugs or bad bugs. Actually crazy. They fixed hammer of light but sacrosanct crusade is still broken even though it was supposed to be hotfixed last week.

Big Thanks for Finding all these Bugs and getting the word out to Blizz, the new Hammer of Light is great. Having a 12 sec burst window is really nice and the chunky hits feel very satisfying, for those saying it is OP, keep in mind it is 5 HP you have to spend on every swing, and the swing is longer than a normal attack. The Upcoming Pal changes are a double edged sword IMO, we are losing our Seal of Alacrity which is a big haste decrease, and also Steed of Liberty comes at the cost of our normal freedom, not a good trade at all especially in PVP. Getting Bubble Heal back is great , but Faith's armor is a dead talent IMO, Lead the Charge seems very lackluster, and would be nice to see some buffs to Judgement of Light. Keep the vids coming Lvladen thank again

When I use wake of ashes as of testing 9/9/2024 at 6:00pm pst. The ability to use lights hammer is only once after wake of ashes. After that, the button reverts back to wake.

Was really enjoying this burst rotation earlier... but it looks like blizzard just hotfixed the amount of hammer of lights you get once using wake of ashes. You'll only get 1 use of it per wake of ashes now :/

Just noticed I am no longer able to cast Hammer of Light more than once. Goes on CD after first use ( Wake of Ashes and Light's Deliverence proc) I enjoyed being able to cast this more than once after building 5 holy power.

It was definitely patched. I leveled as Templar and you could only get one hammer of light. You can get up to 3 now in the 12 sec window if you use divine toll during the window, and you get an art of war proc.

Dude, I thought that was a bug. I was leveling my pally, I dcd during the Dawnbreaker dungeon. Got back on and was able to get off 3-4 hammers within 12 sec. My damage skyrocketed from that. Wasn't sure if it was a bug or intended. That is gigantic.

@@Boss-ot1iy it’s actually super fun now. I’m trolling bgs as prot. Hammer of light only costs 3 holy power as prot, so I can get up to 5 hammers in one go. With saltwater and wings I can almost one tap people, I love it. Really hope it doesn’t get nerfed.

@@steve-ok2090 It'll get nerfed for pvp for sure. If you're doing that type of damage in pvp as a tank, it's getting nerfed. Remember how quickly Blizzard nerfed ret after 10.0.7? Literally that Thursday, lol. If pallies were favored like DHs are, I'd say pallies would last a while that powerful.

I like templar more than herald, but herald seems more sustainable. But when you get a good couple of hammer of lights, it can surprise your target.

I tried the Templar branch just yesterday. And I have to say, it felt solid. I think it's currently better than the Herald. Also absorbs more damage. We will then see what it will be like for the changes in 11.0.5. In the meantime, go templating! the light be with you. :P

Well it seemed to good to be true, Hammer of Light Hotfixed about an hour ago, one use only :( , btw tried Hammer of Light Prot in arena this afternoon it had crazy burst, it was very OP, was fun while it lasted

Not only that hammer of light deals not enough dmg, in addition it feels so clunky. In comparison wake of ashes feels smooth and fits in the rotation. On the other hand the five holy power spender which is incredible high for the amount of dmg it deals is a NOGO. They need to rework this hero talent in a way that it's only passive and procs in a way like herald of the sun does. Another point to speak about is the "Justicar's Vengeance" choice talent which nobody use since ages. Divine Hammer as well.

Personal preference but herald of the sun has better healing and focuses on ranged hammers while templars you need to be close up

If Templar remains like this they are completely equal. Prior to the fixes herald was slightly better. Herald is easier to pickup/ play because it’s less set up and more reliable consistent pressure.

The tooltip literally just means the buff for HoL is available for 12 seconds. Nowhere does that suggest its meant to function this way. It makes hammerfall and shake the heaven talents pointless and relegates FV to might as well not existing. Zero shot this is how its supposed to work.
