I agree and they also are trained to suffer in silence bc the parents usually tell them it has to be a "secret" or they will be taken away to live with a stranger but in my opinion maybe making it known to child services would motivate the mother enough to actually do something about it! I understand that there are certain psychological conditions such as depression that effect our motivation but I've struggled many ups and downs physically and mentally throughout my lifetime and I can tell you as a mother of two no matter how exhausted or overwhelmed I was I would never ever slack on the basic necessities of my children... Ever... Just bc Iam internally suffering why would I traumatize my children in the process?! Iam so glad Ari is there with her big heart helping these people...I just don't think there is ANY good excuse to have a child in a home like this.. Even a physical disability or disease (which I have)!and is painful and limits my mobility but my house is spotless.. I keep it to a certain standard bc if you have a messy home you have a messy mind and live in chaos!

Do you really think that matters. For them to live like that in the first place, nastiness doesn’t seem to matter to them. So this house will be right back to how it was in a few months. It was very outstanding of her to clean their houses, it’s just a shame it won’t stay like that
@hnichole2 ай бұрын
@@grabbagconversations2802 What a nasty comment. There are lots of people who struggle with hoarding or severe depression, yes, and obviously those things won't get better without intervention. But there are other times where people go through an awful time in their lives and get so overwhelmed by the mess, they don't even know where to start. Getting a reset can make it so much easier to maintain the cleanliness. You're being awfully judgmental about people you don't even know, you have zero way of knowing their mindset or if/how they plan to maintain the newly cleaned space.

Your non-judgemental attitude makes me so happy. I have a relative who has fallen into depression, and I truly try to come in and help clean up, but I can barely make a dent in the mess before I have to go home. People are often so judgemental about those who live like this, but I don't think there's a single person who lives like this who WANTS to. And speaking as a complete outsider, I don't know where to start to help my family member because it's SO much and it becomes too intimidating to tackle. Honestly bless your soul

Thank you for being so kind and not judging your family member. You are a wonderful person! It has to be sad and overwhelming for you, and for your family member. I'm sorry. Every time I read a post like yours, or from someone who is struggling a lot to clean their own home, I wish I lived in their area so I could help. Of course, I never know, nor can I. I just like cleaning and I like helping others. I have Depression, anxiety, PTSD and my home is not spotless, but clean, overall. I'm also a really good organizer and planner so that helps me. Take or leave my unsolicited advice below. It might help if you have a plan of when you'll go to your family member's home and develop a plan of "attack" when there. The bathroom and kitchen will take more time. Still, clearing a table so everything can be moved off countertops and to table, then sorted, so you can clean counters, sink, stove works, too. I've watched videos by those who clean their own homes that look like those Aurikatatriina cleans. They often use the 3 (or 6) foot, "rule". It takes time but it works. They clean one space, not a whole room per cleaning "session". Pull out trash and get rid of it, empty shelves or table tops, clean the space and only put back what will be kept. Anything that will be donated or thrown away is taken out of the house when the timer goes off. Anything to be kept goes to the place it's supposed to be (like clothing, tools, to or canned goods) and will be dealt with when that space is cleaned. They keep slowly working their way through the same room and then, over time, one room is done. Or, maybe you could only take out the trash, one room at a time. Is there someone else your family member would accept to go with you when you clean? Or, do as Aurikatatriina does, one room at a time. It doesn't matter that you don't have full days to clean, like she does. Two sayings I thought of as I read your kind post ... Don't let perfection get in the way of progress. And. ... How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. You can't do everything in one visit and it's okay. Take care of yourself, too!
@PatienceMarie882 ай бұрын
You are a blessing to them for sticking around, when more often times than not, people abandon others when they go through such a deep depression like that. If you have any friends or family who are also as understanding as you, maybe try to reach out to them to see if they will help you. Reassure your loved one, that whoever you bring to help, is only there to help and not judge. Hopefully you can tackle their depression nest to finality ❤.

I’m working for a hoarder right now as a cleaner. I really recommend doing small areas at a time like one room at a time. It really helps to make you less overwhelmed. Even if it takes you a couple days in a room, you’ll feel so proud when you see the progress. I am still not done with her kitchen. It’s taken me two days to get it remotely clean. About 10+ garbage bags of bad food and dirt has been taken out. I’m going to try and finish the kitchen this week. Then I’m moving on to the other rooms.

For anyone, insects are animals and all require 3 things, oxygen, water, and food. You can't do anything about oxygen so you deny them the other two. Make sure there are no wall leaks in the pipes and no open water or drips in sinks. Only put trash in a sealed trashcan in a bag so when the bag goes all the possible food for them goes as well. Like all animals insects scout for two things, a water source and a food source close to each other then they start to have offspring. Turn your house or apartment into a desert for them.

Bedbugs eat blod so that's harder. They can go without food for three months. The best solution is an Ozoneair. It kills all bugs and mold within 24-48 hours. You and pets shouldn't be in the house/appartment while the machine works, but you can get in and move it around to get it to work on all places and rooms in the home. I have an Ozoneair that I bought to kill bad smell coming from the walls when we moved in, it was probably mold. I've never used it though because it wasn't necessary when we took down some walls in my wardrobe. I don't have bedbugs either but I've kept the ozone machine just in case. And I've also heard that you should put double sided tape on the legs of your bed, baseboards, sofa, chairs, furnitures and everywhere they can hide. They will get stuck. I guess you should change the tape regularily. It probably works with other insects too like cockroaches. We don't have cockroaches in my country/my part of the world luckily.

I am following you from Egypt and I love what you do very much. It means a lot to those you help and to me as a viewer. It is amazing, but insects are difficult to deal with.🤢😷 You are very strong to deal with this.🤭👏

This made me cry happy tears, Aurikatarina you are truly an Angel sent from God. You never judge them and that is the ultimate thing you can give someone.

How did the bathtub get greasy?? You are so brave to touch so much as a doorknob without gloves.😩 Spraying the mattress with rubbing alcohol and steam cleaning can help with the bed bugs.

God bless you more and more. You're a real super hero saving people's life who are stuck under loads of dirt, filth and saddness. Lots of blessings and prayers for you.

No matter how much you clean unless you take care of the bug issue it will never go away.
@beckabeans8392 ай бұрын
And your point? You do realize that getting rid of the bugs is pointless unless you get rid of the mounds of trash, right? Otherwise, they will just come back. And how is anyone supposed to come in there and fumigate properly with all that clutter? Obviously, both steps are necessary, but the pest control is on the homeowner. She did more than her part by coming into that health hazard and cleaning for FREE. It's unfortunate you had to point out the negative instead of focusing on their amazing work so that now the bugs can be addressed.

Love your videos so much!!! But please don’t speed up the cleaning this fast. It’s hard to enjoy the process when I can barely tell what’s going on 😢 2:25 I was so excited to watch you guys clean that floor but it was a blink of an eye

I can't remember how old the Paris video was, but that is the FIRST landline pushbutton phone I've noticed on Auri's videos. I grew up with those. In fact, we had rotary phones most of my childhood, but then we got the "fancy" pushbutton phones.
