that ‘we can take it up to heaven, we can walk amongst the stars…’ line in particular just jumps out to me. the bee gees’ ability to interweave seemingly simple yet compelling imagery into their lyrics is one of my favourite things about them, and it usually goes unnoticed by a lot of reactors. this is one of the most beautifully written songs they ever did in my opinion and i cant for the life of me figure out why it wasn’t included on an album!

I’m always struck by that as well - especially in songs like Morning of My Life or Butterfly or The Sun Will Shine. They were so talented!!

Love love love this song! The contrast between Robin's yearning for that special soul love and Barry's love coming somehow from contentment is what always am thinking when hearing this. Absolutely gorgeous and heart fulfilling. Robin ❤️

I love this song! I think everything about it, including the imagery in the lyrics, is absolutely beautiful! My favorite part is, also, when Robin sings, “We'll fly rings around the moon”, then, Barry comes in singing the same thing and, then, Robin comes in again singing that again.😍

This is a beautiful song. Robin wanted it played at his funeral from what I understand, it must of had been a pick for him. I love Robin's voice in this I feel he was singing from his heart. Thanks Kate.

Well, this song was not played at his funeral to my knowledge which of course is based entirely on press coverage of the event. "How Deep is Your Love", "Don't Cry Alone" and "I Started a Joke" were the only ones I saw mentioned. I could certainly be wrong though. Someone did make a lovely video of Robin's funeral with this song as the music. It is very well done .

@@themelodicmariner3323 I don't think that song was part of the official funeral proceedings, but someone took images from the public part of the services and used them to make a video for Rings around the Moon. I guess because the song has a beautiful, haunting quality to it.
