Hi Dan! Got a question that I’m not sure you can answer regarding the grosses for the original Batman vs Batman Returns. Is there data that shows whether or not the merchandise for Batman Returns closed the profitability gap between the two films? Maybe that’s a little outside your wheelhouse? Just was curious. Thanks!

All I know is that Tim Burton was reportedly not asked back because WB heard from promotional partners like McDonald's that the movie was too dark. So my guess is that there was a dropoff.

Dan has no obligation to see and review Am I Racist. I respect anyone who chooses to see it and talk about it and I have respect for those who don’t. No need to start drama over nothing.

For us, International audience, your review of Am I Racist would be fun, specially because you’ve always had a very entertainment-centric focus. Not political at all.

@notefish328Ай бұрын
It’s not just Dan. Every mainstream news outlet is outright refusing to review Am I Racist? Dan has his own motives for choosing not to review it, but I don’t know of another occurrence of such blatant disregard for a movie. It’s in the top 5, has a near perfect audience score, and has already exceeded its production budget, but NO ONE is acknowledging it, even attempting to understand its popularity. They’re not even willing to negatively review it; it’s a total blackout, and if that doesn’t tell you that Hollywood caters to the Left, I don’t know what will.
@swordrushАй бұрын
This is essentially my disagreement with not reviewing it. On the one hand, I wouldn't want somebody to feel like they're being bullied into something they genuinely don't want to do--for whatever personal reasons that might be. On the other hand, how often does a movie not get any level of review despite seeming to be wildly successful through multiple metrics. It isn't a troll movie, it isn't a scam; the movie has a message and for some reason lots of people are connecting to that message. At some point it seems like it's worth finding out why.
@Leo-u5k2dАй бұрын
It's because it's a right wing circle jerk. Of course the people who watch it are going to love it.
@davidmylchreest3306Ай бұрын
@@swordrush I know I'm going to regret asking this but.... what is the message of the movie?
@swordrushАй бұрын
@@davidmylchreest3306 The message, as much as I can tell, is finding humor in allowing Robin DiAngelo and others in her industry to fully express their message in their own words. It seems to be about comedy.
