This scene was just *chef's kiss. I love how all of them (except for Beetlejuice) really look like they're singing and dancing against their will but special shout out to Burn Gorman (the priest). Maybe in the first movie he was just interested in being in the world of the living, but here he is clearly in love. He gave her a private wedding like she wanted, he could cheat on her like Rory did with Astrid but he prefers to get married, he never stopped thinking about her and he even has a photo of her on his desk and sings romantic songs to her, he showed her that her boyfriend didn't love her. and he let her get even with him, when he could have done something worse to him and managed to save Astrid without a doubt in his very strange way he loves her and they are perfect for each other.

I remember just chortling incredulously at the theatre and repeating "What the hell am I watching?!" to myself. It was the most fun I had had in months! 😂❤

Sadly as Tim Burton said, if another sequel happens the same way (30+ years later) he’ll be well over 100 years old. But who knows?

Sitting through the rest of the movie was worth it for these five minutes. This has been my favorite song since like 2011, and no one understood why. My friends get it now.

I keep coming back to this scene. It’s so touching. I feel like he’s saying goodbye though he doesn’t want to 🥺 I wish Tim Burton will make part three where everyone is happy in the end.

I so loved that they made this sequence; it had me in stitches. I was a teenager when this song first came out, and I thought even then it had the freaking stupidest lyrics I had ever heard. It was trying to be deep, and I guess metaphorical, but it was just dumb. This send up was really hilarious.
