Alek, I am 14 and I run a Etsy store for a few months but nothing, even after almost daily uploads of designs. I spent hours researching SEO, Marketing, Product designs, etc. Could you make a video which shows ways a teenager could make money online with barley any start-up capital?

He literally explained all of that in this video. Is your product in a popular niche? Is it priced right? Are your SEO terms targeting the right audience…If your products aren’t selling your products might not be any good. Make more products. How many products do you have for sale? 50? 100? 1000? With stores that have thousands of quality items for sale and proven sales it’s going to be hard for you to jump in without paid ads unless you create some killer products.

Hi Alek, I have a quick question..If I am opening a brand new POD apparel store on Etsy this month, should i focus on only 1 niche and 1 product type (t-shirts) OR Should I focus on multiple niche (10+) and multiple product types within the same category (like sweatshirts, hoodies, tank tops, t-shirts, hats)?

I don't get this print on demand thing, because some of the items are so expensive plus you have to put your own markup percentage on them. Like right now, mugs are around $15 base price, then you have to put your mark up. Who's gonna spend nearly $20 on one mug. TShirts are like 12 dollars plus you have to put your markup. Having said that, I do sell TShirts and sublimation products but I buy from a distributor, I get them in small quantities, like hundreds at a time. My blanks are high quality, heck look up Classic Tees, them and I get from the same distributor. Same thing as these print on demand providers. The shirts cost around $5 and they offer them for around $15 plus you gotta put your mark up. Anyway let's see if my comment gets deleted. 😂

"Who's gonna spend nearly $20 on one mug. " Many people will on etsy, most shoppers there know it isn't amazon or temu. Etsy is a place you generally do pay more. Lot of buyers understand your usually dealing with small shop, selling an item you probably won't find anywhere else. I've seen mugs in the $30-40 range that sell. I've had my own etsy shop for about four years... The biggest problem these days is saturation of products and new sellers. It's bad these days, real bad. Lot of etsy youtubers won't tell you that, it's MUCH harder than they make it sound to be successful. You gotta remember if they have plenty of views/subs they're making GOOD money on youtube making these videos. They also sell courses. So maybe the real way to success is making youtube videos about etsy and selling courses.

So before I post, I copy what I wrote to my clib board or take a screenshot, then come back to check. We're not asking for these content creators to give us the details of their 'gold mine', but heck we're spending our data which translates into money to learn from them. So, all we ask for is transparency and honesty.

@SideHustler903 . The Distributor where I get my blank Apparel requires that you have a registered business. And with that, you get a lot of insider industry scoop. So that was one of the ways I came to know that True Classic Tees and I and many others get from the same supplier. I think their markup is between 500 to 700 percentage. It's crazy. Hey. Good for them. It's all strategic marketing. Keep going, don't give up. Your only option is to succeed.

Hi Alek, tks for sharing such good content. Just one noobie question: do we need to pay Printify upfront when we receive an order? Or Printify will retain the corresponding amount of money the product costs? Have a blessed Sunday!

Printify will need their money upfront to fulfill the order but you can set the order approval to manual and wait about 2 days to receive payment from your customer first... then approve the order once you can pay for it. Yes it will take just a bit longer to get it shipped out. Once you are rolling you can then set order approval back to 24hr or whatever you need. Hope this helps. Sorry for chiming in Alek!
