I notice you angle your feet/hips to the side you’re swinging the bell like I’ve seen Steve Cotter teach. I’ve been trying that lately and I like it better than staying square.

How often should one do this workout? 2-3 times a week? every other day?
@kbfitbritt3 жыл бұрын
I can't give you an exact answer to that, that's up to your discretion and I don't have any background info. In general, for most people, I wouldn't recommend doing it more than once per week.

Are there any kettle bell exercises for belly fat or love handles? I've been exercising with kettle bells since 4 months, and can see massive changes in my shoulders, back amd waist, but belly fat is kinda stubborn it seems. Anyways, thank you for your help.
@kbfitbritt3 жыл бұрын
Hi Vijeta, there is no way to spot reduce body fat. All you can do is lose body fat overall and your body decides where to lose it from. Everyone is different in where they acquire and hold onto body fat. I recommend simply keeping a consistent exercise routine and eating in a way that nourishes your. body. Good luck!

Hi Brit, I would like to know why you raise your foot from the side that you are swinging. Thanks!
@kbfitbritt5 жыл бұрын
Luis C. Cuestas hi Luis, the foot lifts as a consequence of shifting my weight to the opposite leg. It’s personal preference whether you push equally from both legs or more on one leg like I am doing here

THANKS , I GOT A QUESTION IF YOU CAN, HOW DO YOU know how much weight to use? and when to jump up in kb sizes/
@kbfitbritt4 жыл бұрын
I recommend women start with an 8 or 12kg kettlebell, and men start with a 12 or 16kg kettlebell. How quickly to progress in weight depends on your technical proficiency, fitness level, and ability to recover. You should feel comfortable doing at least 3-4 sets of 10-20 reps with a weight, with good form, prior to trying anything heavier. Hope that helps!
@Ksamenk5 жыл бұрын
Hi Brittany, many thanks for this workout. Today I try it for first time and really is a good way to introduce myself on KB sport training. What I did is that I change hands at 2 minutes within the 4 minutes set ., it's correct? or what I have to do is 4 minutes each hand per exercise? many thanks in advance!

You're welcome! Yes, you switch hands at 2 minutes in the 4 minute sets.

I have to ask: when I observe your snatch technique (as well as other professional KB athhletes) it seems like you are positioning your legs at a slight angle versus the forward angle of a swing. Any chance you can explain the significance?
@kbfitbritt4 жыл бұрын
There are different ways to go about the Sport snatch, which is dependent on your body type, how you were coached, and personal preference. Staying straight forward distributes the load more evenly across both legs, versus angling which favors one leg more, and then favors the other leg when you switch sides. Angling your body can also be helpful to get the bicep into the ribcage sooner on the drop. Hope that helps!
