I just started knitting a few weeks ago (coming from being a loom knitter only) and your videos are so helpful! I too knitted some samples and thought they were terrible to start with and then by the end was so proud of what I learned! I am knitting my first project -a scarf/wrap on circular needles and just find I love this so much! I can’t wait to keep progressing as I get better. So thank you!

I bought a super cheap skein of "practice" yarn and just practiced. I'll use the rest to learn different patterns or stitches. My first project was a simple knit stitch scarf.

When I was a little girl I used to watch garments seemingly fly off my mother's knitting needles and I thought she was some kind of wizard! lol. I asked her to teach me to knit and I was given a child's knitting set when I was six. I was so thrilled with that little box and my needles with teddy bear faces and my little balls of wool, which Mum added to from leftovers from her own projects. The first thing I ever made was a scarf for my teddy bear. I was so proud of it! I no longer have it, sadly, although I still have the bear!

How lovely, I started with a kit too. Hope your teddy isn’t too cold! 😄

Hi I started knitting about 5 months but off And on it was a disaster so I left it for a few months. Then I came across your videos and just started watching your videos and iv started from the beginning so I'm using a worse wool and 4.5 wooden needles and I started to relax better and enjoying Knitting more. Thank you for your videos 👍❤💚

I started knitting in July of 2021. My first project was a dish cloth made with merino wool 😂 I’ve made a few dish cloths with cotton yarn since then and am currently working on a super chunky infinity scarf with the seed stitch.

I've been knitting for years and I have knitted a couple of jumpers in the past. But I seem to not have much luck with jumper patterns these days. I seem to have lost my mojo 😂. So now I just knit scarves and easy stuff.

I knitted my first project in January 2021. But for some reason I didn't stick with it at the time. Then late in 2021 I was at a Walmart and picked up a ball of super bulky yarn and matching needles. I used those to knit a scarf for my fiancee. The larger needles and yarn helped me understand what I should be doing, and I figured out really fast how not to stitch too tightly. Since then I've knitted a multicolored scarf and a couple of dish cloths. I'm hoping next to get into double knitting to make some pot holders, especially since I always seem to misplace my oven mitts

I started knitting at the start of January (2024). I first knitted a knit only square(ish), then a purl only rectangle and then a stockinette square. My first project was the a hat in chunky yarn (but it was massive) so now I'm trying again and it's still not going well 😬
@KnitWithHannah9 ай бұрын
That’s a great start for only knitting for a few weeks. It can be tricky to get the tension (size, or tightness/looseness of stitches) right when you’re just beginning. That might be why the hat turned out the wrong size. How about knitting a handle and turning it upside down for a bag? With the size stitches and finished project, this video will likely help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZW3dJugfc-erdEsi=AYJCgr-Olx2GUsR3 Happy knitting!🧶

I just learned about 7 months ago to knit. First thing I did was just take a scrap ball of yarn(I crochet) and cast on stitches and just knit until I was comfortable, undo it then purl undo it then learned how to read stitches well enough to do both knit and purl to do ribbing and so forth. Ribbing still gives me trouble because of moving yarn back and forth. I have done a scarf turned out good, hat....well it is not something that we will talk about😂. Currently on needles is a baby blanket. I think I will stick with straight things for a while yet.
