Time to start rebuilding & modifying the Audi S5 V8. Firstly i need to fix the suspension arms & bushes, before installing the Audi RS5 8 Pot Big Brake Kit. I ran into a few problems as always, but hopefully they are easy fixes.

So glad you are working on the S5. There's not many good vids out there on this model year. I'm in the middle of replacing the manual transmission in my 2008 S5 v8 in my garage on jack stands lol. Took 3 days (gotta take a breather when the frustration sets in) to get the transmission on the ground and drug out from under the car on a blanket. Looking forward to your future videos!

You're making me unhealthy motivated to fix my own S5. 24years of age decided to buy my own S5. I also bought one that's been crashed at some point the only difference between mine and your was that I payed 13 000£ for mine because I didn't know it'd been crashed and the seller lied to me. Gotta replace most of the bushings around the car. The speakers and blown out. need new clothing for the inside of the front wheel house as it's completely scraped of at some places. Gotta fix my breaks as they're getting worn out probably will do the same as you and replace for RS stuff. This along with some other stuff adds up to a looong project. But keep this series up and I might just do it in the end :D

I'll do few things different way: I know is difficult on the drive way but always tightened arms bolts when car is in "drive" position on wheels, so you won't rip off bushes to quick. Always properly clean wheel hub b4 installing brake disc, you'll avoid discs vibrations. Always do bleading from the farthest point from brake pump.

Great work, the control arms (specially the rubber bearings) should be fastened while the car is standing on the ground or lifted axle. The rubber bearings can worn out very quickly if they not installed correctly. Use new oil change screw (includes the seal ring) and torque them with Audi spec torque. Otherwise you can kill the oilpan or the leak is not fix.

Audi don't recommend draining the oil from the sump. They pull it out via the dip stick bung. This reduces this exact issue, you are facing, with the weeping sump plug. Amazon sell a fluid extractor, which I use on my A7 to great effect. Worth looking at, if you're swapping the oil frequently. Good vid though.
@jackmillin

Not sure if you did it or not but those controls arms need to be torqued up pretty tight and the suspension needs to be loaded when you do it as well. If you Google it the torque values will come up but I remember it being something like 100NM plus 90 degrees so that's mega tight.

Tightening arm bolts should be made under weight of vehicle on level ground to set origin for bushes correctly. In this case 0 stress position for bushes would be at fully rebounded suspension. Think what happens with rubber when it is twisted and quite large forces are applied...

Edit: I stand by what I said as after the repairs it wouldn't be that cheap but because you knock out the work on your drive way makes more sense but if you too it too a garage or worse Audi then youd have a big bill that's even if Audi would touch it because they don't like salvage!

Is the new ball joint in properly in the spindle? Looks like there is a gap, but I don't know how you could get the bolt in if its not seated properly. That would explain why it rides higher now, because the spring is on that control arm. Also, I suppose you tightened the bolts with the front end on stands since you couldn't fit the wheels. That would leave the bushings under tension, which might also affect the ride height and they will not last as long.
