Thank You!!!!! Regards From Poland!!! I quote: "OK so this song is Thelemic not satanic.. Its based on a ritual called Liber Samekh which was around before lavey. The last part of this song is the ritual verbatim.. It's the ritual that Crowley used to invoke his Daimon and it is the template for the invocation of the Daimon or "personal genius" of a practicing Thelemite. Akophalos is the name of the artists Daimon. This song is a ritual done by the artist as a means of invoking his highest Self. The reason the name "Satan" can be used here and not actually be "Satanic" stems from the way Thelema frames the concept of Deity. That these are names to describe certain psychological processes and phenomena instead of seeing them as actual objective "gods" and "goddesses". Therefore we can use the potencies of the psychological associations of these particular deity as well as the phenomena they represent as " ingredients " if you will, to the desired goal. Any Deity can be used from any religion, Kali, Tahiuti, Aphrodite.. Vedic, Egyptian, Greek.. Any Deity that symbolises the desired force. In this case being libration from restrictions and limitation, as Satan has the psychological association of being both the liberator of man and the opposition to the previously dominant psychic frame of the collective, the patriarchal, oppressive and misanthropic Abrahamic Theologies. "Whirl the wheel". Satan also gives the fruit to man and therefore bestows upon his knowledge. He liberates man in the myth. He is analogous to Prometheus who steals the fire from the gods and gives it to man. The " Sun" reference here in the song represents the spiritual center of man."

The images of Nergal with the raven (where one of his eyes are covered) (I'm told) is supposed to be a refefence to Odin.

I have a theory he not referencing to Odin, as he had two crows, my theory is that he is referencing to the demon Melphas, as he does appears as a Raven or a old man.

The disemboweled figure is Prometheus. His punishment for stealing fire and gifting it to humanity. The second half of the song Nergal recites a fairly accurate version of Alister Crowely’s “Bornless” ritual.

This song is based off a summoning ritual, "some argue it's started as a ancient rite of exorcism", this ritual which is a extremely complex ritual to conduct, is said to summon The Holy Guardian Angel which allows you to talk to Angels and Demons, also grants you knowledge. The speech at the end comes directly from the ritual, which if you like to know more, the ritual is called Liber Samekh. The kid and the group is practicing another ritual, a ritual of cleansing and protection.

The video production company that Behemoth has used for most of their videos is a Polish company called Grupa 13. There is a Behind the scenes thingy when Behemoth recorded the video to the song Lucifer that I would recommend you to watch. These guys (Grupa 13) is really something else, they're simply playing in a whole different league to most of the music video production companies (matched only by the guys who helped Sabaton with the music video for Christmas Truce in My own humble opinion).

Fun fact! The ritual that he was reciting was actually a spell written by aleister Crowley

I give Behemoth props for the in the face evil metal and their live shows. Negals vocal style is good too, I do prefer his vocal style over the cliche Black Metal screams. Im not a big enough fan to buy their merch or full albums yet, but that could change if I acquire the taste after some listening. As far as this song, I dig the instrumentation. The bass hook in the beginning of the heavy jam was catchy . The video is nice and twisted looking, it fits the song. Props on cinematography.

Their live shows are top tier and amazing. The profane costumes, the rituals and stage presence is unmatched. They sound just as good live as well. If you get a chance to see them don't pass it up, you won't be disappointed. Just watch out for the pit if you don't mosh, they can get brutal but generally follow the unwritten rules of moshing

O Father, O Satan, O Sun...OH CRAP! Just slightly disturbing...but please tell me someone from the Humane Society was on set to ensure no harm was done to the birds or the goat. The poor thing didn't seem too happy...it had a look like, "I am so going after your behe-MOTHBALLS like they were tin cans the second this shot is done!!" 👿😬 And I swear I thought you were calling the dude URKEL. Considering how annoying that character was, he would be hellspawn either way. "Did I do that???" The movie Hereditary keeps coming up in my world...you mentioned it here, and Jack and Sharon Osbourne were talking about it on an episode of The Osbournes Want to Believe - they both said it was the scariest and creepiest horror movie they've ever seen. Den and I have it on "to watch" list and I am guessing we had better brace ourselves pretty good if a statement like that came out of not one but two Osbournes!

I kinda liked what they did 'til Demigod. From there on the music quality, IMO, is spiraling down. I liked Zos Kia Kultus and (probably my favorite) Satanica... The production values increased but the music it's kinda stuck to some level that they are not able to surpass... at least yet.
