Listening to this thru the lens of now is sad to me. The dream is over. Long live the dream

Brings to mind a lyric from the band Rush, song titled Witch Hunt I believe... "And those who know what's best for us, must rise and save us from ourselves."

It's unfortunate that this has become so much harder to do. They've printed so much money that you literally can't do it. You have to almost be an expert financial trader to make a lot of money to then potentially drop out. Plus with social media we have become more isolated, there is no community to take you in as a drop out.

The 60s saw the hippie commune and it didn't work. Most people wanted an exclusive relationship.2024 looking back on the missery of divorce and what that did to generations of children the free love model was a failure.Children need a mother and a father and those that have that faair way better than those that don't. And childless women are going to be about half of the women by 2030. Dying in our institutions with no family, children and grandchildren is a terrible way to go.That said I enjoy Allan Watts very much on this one issue I see that it has failed.
