Let me tell you just a little more about The Chosen ... from someone who was raised in a church where "God and Jesus were sitting in judgment" against every action I [you] did and were quick to point out when "your [my] action" didn't match what they thought it should have been ... I sit and cry through many of the scenes, because I am seeing a God I can love, who doesn't really sit in judgment, who disciplines gently and teaches, not punishes, gently rather than passing down "harsh judgment", who loves fiercely ... Yes, I cry a lot because that's a Jesus, and His Father, who, for once, I'm coming into a much better understanding and that they steadfastly know and love me.
