Now with the following comparison video, I see that my first impression is wrong, and that these two machines are like brothers.I don't have anything more to say.

Is the pianokeyboard recorder included?
@RalphBaumgartl3 жыл бұрын
No this is the Arturia Keystep (Keyboard Controller). The Behringer 2600 does not come with a keyboard. You can attach a keyboard via Midi and/or CV/Gate. Greetings, Ralph

I am really happy with the Keystep right from the moment I played it for the first time. Today there's also a black version available. When I bought mine the was only the white version. BTW, here's a video with one of my first KeyStep and ARP2600 jams kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWTcoHRnlqeCr7M

how did you do te receive the 2600 before everyone ? t'as suçé ?
@RalphBaumgartl3 жыл бұрын
Dude there's no need to impress me with your modest french language skills. I ordered my 2600 unit the very first it became available for Pre-Order! Thus I received my unit according to the delivery concept 'first order in - first order out'! Perhaps you don’t have much of a real life and have too much time on your hand to think about futile matters….

@hereandnow Have you been beta testing only the 2600? Or other Synths like the Mono/Poly, Odyssey etc as well?
@VincentsVideoVisions3 жыл бұрын
My personal opinion, not owning one and not hearing one in person yet is this: I think that *for the price* it's a pretty nice synthesizer. However, to my ears it does not sound like a 2600. The dry sound of it isn't that impressive to me at all if I am being honest... and I am not one of those Behringer haters! I want to love it but I just can't. The overall sound feels kinda muffled to me, like it has a lowpass filter on it somewhere... and that's not just this video, it's every video I've seen. It also seems to be missing a sort of fizzy, organic, metallic quality to it that the original had. I think that even the Arturia 2600 VST did a better job of nailing the sound.
@phazerbrains3 жыл бұрын
I agree with you - it doesn't sound like a 2600. Go listen to the demos of he Korg 2600 and you can immediately hear the difference. Nonetheless I have one on order and am interested in trying it out.

@@phazerbrains call me crazy but I think the Odyssey (behringer and korg versions) sound better than this. Am I just going deaf?
@VincentsVideoVisions3 жыл бұрын
@@phazerbrains it's a shame that the korg version is so crazy expensive. It sounds remarkably better than this Behringer version. I actually prefer the Behringer Odyssey to the Korg one due to the effects and sequencer since they sound about the same. With the 2600 though there's a huge difference in sound. I dont knowing korg is overpricing or if Behringer is using cheap crappy components.. all I know is the behringer 2600 doesn't sound nearly as good as the Korg.
@MatzeMue3 жыл бұрын
@@phazerbrains But even the Korg 2600 does not sound like the ARP 2600. You can spot the difference in the envelopes which are weaker in the KORG.

btw, the author of this video left this comment further below... "I am really impressed by the sound of the B2600. The two mode filter is really awesome! In my personal opinion the sound of the B2600 matches up to my original ARP 2600. Greetings, Ralph" This guy owns the original one and can compare it 1:1 - not only judge in a YT video. But maybe you own the Tonus version with the 4012 filter which is for the most ARP lovers the best sounding version of the 2600 ?

Isn't it nice that we humans are sometimes so different from each other. The glittering lights on any Synth are a buying reason for me 😃
@sub-jec-tiv3 жыл бұрын
@@RalphBaumgartl It looks almost the same as the original. The lights are different of course (I like!). But this synth was designed in a past era, i’m 50 so i remember it... a time when synths looked like luggage. And sounded freaking great! 🙃
