YOu can solve the problem of monitoring USB audio from PC and record only microphone signal connecting the 2-track in and out with rca R+L cable and pressing in USB-2Track to Phones-CTRL Room and pull ON the To-Main mix button. In this way you can use it to record a voice, guitar etc...listening a base from you DAW.
@charleslaine5 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by "pull ON the To-Main mix button". Do you just mean, make sure it's in the UP (off) position?

@@charleslaine yeap, used his "guide" and can monitor input+voice.

I got one yesterday, glad to say it doesn't wobble now. Also I use turtle beach 800X elite xbox one headphones which can take optical from the PC for prerecorded, and it has headphone jack that I run to the mixer. This gives me both outputs simultaneously was a lucky fix for me.

Nice... I am really happy with the Xenyx pre-amps. There are a few ways that you can fix the latency issue.. I mention it in the video because it seems overlooked.

Most of the audio equipment I own wobbles on the table. Even stuff that costs way more than this. It's super annoying, but that's how it is nowadays...

Flaws in 2 of Behringer's mixers. Maybe i was wrong of trying to find a cheap mixer for my first XLR mic.

I'm seriously worried about it. I needed something this tiny for my live gigs so that I don't have to bring my large Mackie mixer with me. But already the first QX1002USB had to be returned as after only 20 minutes of it being on - both compressors magically turn on on their own with nothing plugged in and a loud screaming, popping sound is heard from headphones. Filter capacitors evidently dead on it. Now I'm taking my second one out of the box and only after an hour my power supply/AC110 to AC 15V converter is ridiculously hot. I mean the mixer wasn't even plugged into it yet and so not under a significant load. If this converter dies, - sure I have a few extra 15 volts AC adapters, and I could fashion a necessary adapter for it, but the quality of workmanship worries me, especially after reading so many horror stories. My Mackie mixer is barely warm adapter and all even with 24 volt phantom power turned on and this thing is like a jet engine. It has 100 effects, and while most of them are utter crap, there are a few that seem rather decent like some of the flangers, plate and hall reverbs and couple of delays. I seriously hope it doesn't immediately die on me and works at least 3-4 years. If any of you people owned one this long, - please reassure me. Thx.

I know this is 2 years old, but I can attest to the wobble. 3 Behringer bits of equipment all do it including my Q1002 USB. Mine also has a buzz though even when the when the pre-amps are turned all the way down to zero; was hoping to find a solution, so have been looking at all the vids. Frustrating. And I can't recommend even if it is cheap.
@telumatramenti72502 жыл бұрын
The solution is this: Open it up and replace the filter capacitors, ones right next to preamps/compressors. You can find the spare caps very cheap on EBay. Also replace power capacitors while you're at it. caps are VERY easy to replace even for total novice in electronics, and it will no longer void the warranty. It suffers from "Chinesium" capacitor plague and very poor design like many Behringer mixers. Alas. Also what most people don't realise is that the ventilation port on the bottom cannot just be pressed flush against your desk. It's better to raise it on 2 markers placed underneath so that it gets more airflow. Better yet - either replace the heatsink on the power transistors with a much larger one, use thermal paste and screw existing one tightly to the metal plate on the bottom, or/and install a small laptop fan right under that port to blow right on it and drill an air flow exit hole somewhere else. Or simply remove the left plastic siding to create airflow, to prevent future issues that will undoubtedly arise from overheating. I asked other people on how long it lasted for them (without the mods) because I wondered if I should do all of the above modifications which I did for other Behringer mixers I was brought to repair, but it now seems certain that I will have to, regardless. I know, it sucks to have to essentially "re-design' it but it does suffer from crappy design. Which is a real shame because of just how compact and powerful it is and all its features.

Can you please help me. I cannot seem to find the mixer audio software in my DAW. I have used ASIO4all but it does not pick up the mixer. I cannot haer any sound from the mixer. I have SAMSON speakers with two RCA inputs. I connect these to my main out from the mixer. pluged my sub mixer in. it is powered on. but I cannot use it in my DAW (Samplitude Pro X and MAschine Studio). I have to constantly change my sound settings on my computer to hear something as well, like from youtube.

Could you make a video showing most of the effects, at least the coolest ones, I'm looking into this as well. Good review, I'm a beginner in this and would you say this is better than have the u-phoria, obviously they are 2 different things but this allows you to mix pre pc. My plan is to do covers, would you recommend this going into a dslr

Good review, you told me exactly what I needed to know. I believe this is the mixer for me. I'm doing voiceovers and was looking for a usb mixer with 3 band eq and on-board effects... for around $100 (which REALLY narrows it down)! P.S. Is the mid eq a sweepable range or a preset freq?
@DavidJonathonMusic7 жыл бұрын

Only the gain of the effect no the value. So if you do not like the type of reverb bad luck. If you want to increase its gain then you can

whats the control room out for? is that for monitoring?
@martiallemec7 жыл бұрын
the "ctrl room out" is for the studio monitors. with the "ctrl room/phones" poti you can now set the volume of the studio monitors (& headphones) without affecting the the "main mix" fader. "main out" would then be used to go into a recording device.

Every "flaw" or "negative" thing you mentioned- will always be there when you record with usb... And also the way you speak about "yout old midi device" "out slider"... Seems like you dont know much about how mixers work (those equiped with sound card) and you mark your "ignorance" as "mixer flaw... :/
