I've been skating non stop since 1986. I skate street, parks, ramps etc. I skate everything but never took a glance to freestyle (wich I always liked it) until accidentally got here and learn some cool stuff. I'm in charge of a skatepark in Buenos Aires and it's skateboarding school with many skaters allá ages and I have to say is the way you explain the tricks it's very professional. Keep the great job!

That's really great to hear. Glad I could help you learn some new tricks despite the huge physical distance. How's things in Argentina right now? We don't get a lot of news reports over here on how countries in South America are handling this pandemic. Hope you're all doing okay.

@@FreestyleTricktips here we are locked down since march 20th but being a country with 45.000.000 of people and having only 3700 people infected and 351 casualties it Is very strange to stay this in this situation (wich will continue till may 25th. Too much time in the cage. Anyways on november I'm going to spain and may be uk, there's plenty of bands I got to ser there so we can skate anytime!

@@rodrigolantaron2305 Yeah, that's a really low number, but considering how much it's spreading like wildfire everywhere else - we're up to a potential 40,000 deaths here in the UK, with something like 33,500 confirmed deaths and a population of 63,000,000 - it's probably better that you're so tightly locked down now to stop it getting worse. Meanwhile, my government's basically just saying "yeah, go back to work, plebs. Our rich friends need your money!" Greedy bastards.

@@FreestyleTricktipsin Argentina just because politicians are the worst delinquents in the World and historically they been stealing national budget instead using it in public health or education they just lockdown people because they have no other solution. Besides the villas (argie version of favelas) are the main focus of infections...
@rodrigolantaron23054 жыл бұрын
And the saddest of all Is that here we're locked down before even the first case so the very initial wild focus were stopped from the very begining so there's no excuse to have the people caged. Oh and today in the news I read that the football season's training are back un may 25th.... Bread and circus...

After years of saying I wanted to get back to freestyle my best mate surprised me with a moonshine 'Rocco' board last November. I have not been able to use it until lockdown gave me a little time back but I could not get trucks or wheels. We put some penny truck and wheels on and it sits in rail perfectly. That board has saved my sanity. It really did. Can't wait to afford some proper undercarriage though... Keep on with vids. They have literally saved my mood a few times. Good luck..

Yeah, supply of trucks and wheels has been tough lately. I sell them through www.offsetskatesupply.co.uk (I remember that order for your deck - I had a good chat with your friend about it!), and I think supply is just about getting back to normal, so when you're ready, give me a shout. I'm really glad to hear you're enjoying the deck. I absolutely love my one of those. It's a really nice shape.

Thanks, man. The back seems to be pretty much back to full strength now, thankfully. Still trying to take it easy, but I had a short roll around while I went out to pick up food last night and it seems okay. But yeah, still can't really make long-term plans. Just got to take each day as it comes.

Only just caught this video but I hope the back is feeling a little better. Thanks for everything you do for this scene, particularly in the UK. Just wanted you to know that the trick tips have been very handy during the lockdown!

Hey Joe, the back's doing much better, thanks. I actually snuck out for a footwork session over the weekend, and it seems to be in good shape. Unfortunately all the good spots in this town are still locked down (quite literally - padlocks and everything), so I'm still stuck with the cheese graters and the uneven paving slabs if I want to go and roll anywhere. Anyway, I'm glad the videos are helping you. I've been busting my ass trying to get some more freestyle stuff in over at Offset for the last week or so; hopefully that'll be sorted before the end of the week and then I can get back to doing more vids.

Well, we're allowed out for one hour of exercise, but all tennis courts, skateparks, basketball courts, schools etc are closed, and everywhere else in this town is an absolute nightmare to even roll on. Trying to freestyle in places like the town centre is nothing more than a lesson in frustration. Anyway. Trying to stay productive and busy in one way or another, so I'm glad I can help!
