Thank you for your videos, married 20 years empty nesters. Married young and seeking God for help. My husband is not close to the lord even though he goes to church and believes but doesn’t seem to have a relationship. But I struggle with serving when I don’t feel “in love” and know this is what true marriage is. My husband is desiring love and I am going through motions but cold. Seeking prayer for joy in serving. Husband is a good man we are seeking to connect again. Appreciate these videos

This is good stuff and sooo true! My prayer is that this message reaches many women so that we may be who God intended us to be in our role as Godly wives! Sadly, this topic isn’t really taught in our churches nowadays. If we each are to do our part as husbands and wives as God intended it, everything else will fall into place and we will have peace, love, and respect for one another. Love in action, not just words. James 1:22 we are to do what the word teaches us, not just to “listen” to it.

Not 100% certain, but I think the amplified may add a lot of verbiage that’s not in the Biblical text, so basically interpreting/commentary…I prefer a pretty literal translation and leave the exposition to myself and teachers, ESV is my primary, LSB is a close second…NIV or TNIV are good choices also, just “looser” translations than the others I mentioned…translations like the NLT are basically paraphrases and way too loose for serious study in my opinion.

Hi, Ms.Wendy!! I’ve been loving this mini series as I feel called to learn what it means to be a godly wife. I love when you were talking about how in Ephesians 5 it’s starts by saying that we need to imitate God!! Pastor Craig Rochelle saying this same thing! Whenever he talks about marriage he always refers to God as his 1 and his wife as his 2 because if you’re taking care / spending time with your 1 it overflows into your relationship with your number 2 Thank you Jesus, for giving Ms.Wendy the courage and wisdom to speak boldly on a subject that while is often talked about ; but is never explained. Lord, I pray that you watch over Ms.Wendy, her husband and her family; and Lord I pray that you continue to nourish their marriage and that they keep getting to know each other and getting to know how to better serve You so they can better serve each other. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen

Do not allow the voice of the enemy to be bigger than the voice of the Lord in your life. Are you saved? Have you been born again? Have you repented of your sin? Than you are a child of God. Your sins have already been paid for and you have already been redeemed by the blood of the lamb! Pray for God to renew your heart concerning this matter. Hand it over to God. Be honest with Him about how you feel and where you are and let Him take the pieces of your life and put things back together again. He is the ONLY one who can do it. You are MIGHTILY LOVED by an amazing God!!!

I want to be a Godly woman, godly wife, a warrior for God. Thank you for your videos. This is going to help me so much. I've seen part 1 of being a godly wife. I am new to your channel and can't wait to explore all your other videos. As a Christian woman I would like to know your thoughts on being a Christian woman and wearing a veil? I have already thought about doing that since that is one of God's commandments. That is just one commitment that i would like to keep sacred that i have not broken. I got saved as a child and when i became a teenager i left being a Christian to explore the world. I had a traumatic experience that left me to not want to be where i was at; even though i still claim to have God in my heart. Now that i have found Jesus again i feel like my duty is to be a Godly woman, a Godly Wife and have a Godly Marriage and be a Warrior for God 💔💗💞

Hi!! am loving ur videos , you have such a beautiful teaching gift. I was wondering when you mentioned "wives staying at home" do u believe wives should not work at all? I have been married almost two years and starting dental school, ultimately desiring to take more of a stay at home wife role once we have children and careers but I just wanted to know if you think it is hurting our family by me working a traditional job at all.
@inspireministries10 ай бұрын
Thank you for your question! I think that answer is different for everyone depending on many things... 1.) how financially stable you are, 2.) what season of life it is for you etc... I think the primary role of the wife and mom is to take care of her family and raise her babies. If there is something she can do from home that keeps her in those roles effectively, while still supporting in some way financially, then that should of course be done if need be. But I do know that there are times when a job has to be secured in order to contribute to household financial needs during different various times (short-lived would b the goal). I think scripture is our greatest resource for knowing how to navigate that (Prov 31, 1 Tim 5:9-10, Gen 2:18, Eph 5:33, 1 Pet 3:1-2, Titus 2:4-5, Eph 5:22-24, 1 Tim 3:11). I think these roles are given to women with a HIGH degree of honor, and navigating them while focusing on external responsibilities as opposed to keeping duties at home the primary target can be dangerous, and family life can suffer as a result.

A man not born again is not subject to the word in the lord so we have to love them to the lord
@tiffanykelley4619 Жыл бұрын
The lesson is great but the story left me confused. We should honor our husband even if they are not God fearing but the story was about a wife that went against her husband and potentially caused conflict in the household. It slightly negated the previous lesson. I would love to learn more how balance when to step in and when to be the silent subservient. Married 17 years and still trying to improve.
@hiddeninmyheart2111 ай бұрын
@tiffanykelley4619, I can see the confusion. If you go back to 1 Samuel 25, you will see that Abigail actually saved her household. She found out what her husband did and what the consequences of his actions were. So she went ahead and met with David and his men to plead to him. That act saved her household from a slaughter from David and his men.
@hiddeninmyheart2111 ай бұрын
The answer to your question about balance is this: as Ephesians 5:22-24 states that wives ought to submit to her (believing and unbelieving) husband in everything as unto the Lord, except if her husband is asking her to sin. For example, the Bible passage we get this from is in the book of Acts chapter 5. Because we are also told to submit to authority/government. But in Acts 5, the disciples told the authorities that they must obey God rather than men.

Are you saying if our husband is wanting to have domestic discipline as the structure in our homes we should be submitting to beatings?
@inspireministries3 ай бұрын
Oh no no no... and out of respect I would ask in what that you heard me say did you come to this conclusion?
@stephaniepalazzo56343 ай бұрын
@@inspireministries I felt like being subject or submissive, would mean to come under his house rules. I’m newly married to a Christian, we have come to many conclusions that our beliefs are very different. I have spent many days crying and nights sleepless. I think our first biggest disagreement is politics, as I have tried to defend my thinking with to word, it has caused him to feel I’m not submitting. Also, after finding he takes care of his needs sexually, I have found he is watching videos of BDSM, and podcasts regarding Christian Domestic discipline. And he listens to audio books about domestic discipline. I love Jesus with all my heart, I want to be a good wife, but since we have married, he has started smoking pot and sits at home most days for hours digging into strange ideas. He goes to men’s group and Bible study he is active at church. But his morals and values are not Godly, he listens to podcasts like yours often about the role of a Godly wife. But has no intent to change his thinking to line up with Gods word. We can’t even discuss things like evolution or abortion, he’s set in his thinking. He has not confronted me with this idea of Domestic discipline, but I know he is contemplating it. I try to be gentle and kind, I’m often very quiet to not stir up strife. I serve him w love and take care of the home and work full time. I don’t know what he’s expecting or wanting, why he feels like I’m not a good wife. I will not tolerate being spanked w a belt or a coat hanger or flogged, I listened to one of the books he listened to about domestic discipline, and it was punishing for things like bed time and eating.. my heart is broken my head can’t understand this idea. I don’t know how to respect him, when he lies and hides and manipulates me.

Seems as if Abigail was undermining her husband going behind him & against his decision? And showing disrespect to him especially in how she discribes her husband and his decisions to David. She showed love & kindness to another man while going behind her husband?
@godsamazingcreaturez59592 жыл бұрын
When Abigail met David, she showed the humility her husband should have exhibited. She “got down off her high horse,” threw herself to the ground, fell at his feet and pleaded with David. And notice how much she talked about the Lord: “Please forgive the sin of your servant, for the Lord will certainly establish the house of my lord, because my lord fights the battles of the Lord. May no evil be found in you all your days! When someone sets out to chase you and to take your life, the life of my lord will be wrapped securely in the bag of the living by the Lord your God. But he will sling away the lives of your enemies from the sling’s pocket! The Lord will do for my lord everything that he promised you, and he will make you a leader over Israel. Your conscience will not be overwhelmed with guilt for having poured out innocent blood and for having taken matters into your own hands. When the Lord has granted my lord success, please remember your servant.” Did you catch that? Abigail was focused on God. And she considered it evil to “take matters into your own hands”-the very action for which she is accused by contemporary critics. So…either this story is full of extreme irony or Abigail is a model of righteousness. Notice the future king's "God talk." He said, “Praised be the Lord, the God of Israel, who has sent you this day to meet me! Praised be your good judgment! May you yourself be rewarded for having prevented me this day from shedding blood and taking matters into my own hands! Otherwise, as surely as the Lord, the God of Israel, lives-he who has prevented me from harming you-if you had not come so quickly to meet me, by morning’s light not even one male belonging to Nabal would have remained alive!” Did you catch that? David saw Abigail’s actions as preventing him from sin, as wise, and as guided by the Lord himself. A less honest wife would have hidden her actions from her man. But once everyone was out of danger, she summoned the courage to tell Nabal what she'd done-after he had sobered up, that is. And her words made him flip out so intensely that he had a stroke. Literally. Utter rage exploded in his head. And again David saw the circumstances as being from God. When he heard about Nabal’s death, he exclaimed, “Praised be the Lord who has vindicated me and avenged the insult that I suffered from Nabal! The Lord has kept his servant from doing evil, and he has repaid Nabal for his evil deeds.” David was so impressed with Abigail and how God used her that he sent for her to marry her.

I can’t stand the world and I long to be caught up with my savior. It is ok that it is not worldly because a lot of us do not feel at home here. We are waiting to go home and then we will feel like we belong. I have been married for 29 years in June of 2024 and I can say that what you are recommending is spot on.
@leola991 Жыл бұрын
Respectfully....Some of the things that are shared here are very unrealistic...I am a therapist and a believer.....And i have worked with many women that have attempted to "love their husbands" according to the ways you are saying and they get beaten up, controlled, yelled at, emotionally abused, given STD's from their husbands as well.... I fully agree in subjection and submission to the husband as a service to God...However, what is being suggested is that a woman stay in pain, abuse and suffering and I believe that a woman "needs to be in a place where she can practice these principals in safety...including emotional safety. Denying a person's own feelings and needs leads to a bunch of people who have no identity and see themselves as worthy of terrible treatment because of being conditioned to live in these situations. Again...I believe in what you are saying but within limits. Gods words should always be honored and followed but to say that living with a person that is abusive in nature is "being a good Christian Wife"....I disagree somewhat with that. Now if its just that interpersonally the husband is challenging then i can understand this...and loving fully when he is challenging is 100% true...
@inspireministries Жыл бұрын
Thank you for contributing to the conversation. Serving and following a suffering servant (Jesus) is hard work that I don’t expect everyone to understand and I fully believe (and say in this series) that this does not mean staying in abuse. Not at all. I 100% don’t advocate for this. However we don’t decide in the covenant relationship of marriage to pick and choose which parts of God’s Word we will believe and receive as truth. It’s all truth or it’s all not truth. My loud and clear message is to honor the roles as husband and wife and the marriage. Abuse is never okay and dishonoring the Lord is never okay. ❤️. I hope you give the other messages a sincere listen as well.
