@play there is no silver bullet when it comes to preparing your child. My white mom tried to hide our fathers heritage and that was not good of her because it made my siblings be confused. I think it is also important they accept that they are mixed and might not fit in with one side or another. I do think people put too much emphasis on race and looks: at the end that doesn’t make you a good person.

african americans just don't know how much they've actually changed the perceptions of black people in certain parts of the world. i mean, in asia generally dark skinned people are not favored, but with hip hop being in the mainstream more and more, asians starting to adopt the culture: raps, clothing style, etc, and youngsters are starting to have more open minded views of black people, to the point of idolizing black american culture.

Funny you said this. He doesn't "rely" on profanity, but it comes up for emphasis or context. On the other hand, I just saw Arsenio Hall's special on Netflix, and I literally had to stop watching. He is south african born in Apartheid.Mixed people weren't allowed to walk free out like it's their business.White people hated mixed and could prosecute his white parent.Black people didn't know that mixed people existed in South Africa because it wasn't allowed for a white person to be with a black.He was raised by his grandmother and rarely able to go outside because the authorities could find him out.What i wanted to say is that black People in South Africa at that time didn't see him as a black(he was mixed and that didn't mean black to them) so that is why he jokes about being black in America,because even the lightest of blacks are considered blacks there.I hope you have a good day!

Most of Africa is Arabic. The North Tip is like Southern Europe. Blacks came from the West African Elbow bend.
