The work that I do, is because I have a huge amount of lived experience of being neurodivergent and growing up in a traumatic environment.
I am highly sensitive, autistic and have ADHD. Putting a label on my experience of life has been incredibly freeing, and despite my fears over how sharing this may be perceived, I feel it is my duty to raise awareness and educate others about being neurodivergent.
While I have known for some time that there was more to my high sensitivity and had self diagnosed years ago, the confirmation from a formal diagnosis feels big. I have started to process what it means to be diagnosed later in life, but this will continue for some time to come I am sure.
I can see so clearly now, why Yoga and other therapeutic modalities have drawn me in, and if you are sensing you are neurodivergent too, I would love to connect with you. Feelings of isolation are high in the neurodivergent community, so let’s put a stop to that by coming together.
