Can you explain to me what you think this means? Just curious cause I'm trying to understand exactly what he meant
@SarahRoebuck5 жыл бұрын
@@iwatchkittenvids45 To me, he's saying don't let yourself only wonder what could have been, instead, go out and fulfill your wonder. This can be anything from changing jobs, going on a trip, taking a chance on someone you like, anything that might be slightly outside your comfort zone. If you only wonder and think about the could-have-been, you become comfortable with that way of thinking and eventually, you stop thinking about taking a chance on something that could change your life, letting the opportunity pass you by. But he's saying life is short and you should act on your sense of wonder.

i will share with you something that really changed me when someone shared it with me:dont cry for your passed loved ones because its like you arent happy that they are on a safer and better place...ill share with you something else.they also look after you.ill tell you my experience to that truth: 10 years ago i was addicted to all kinds of drugs:heroin pills etc...one day i was thinking about my most beloved passed one:my granma...im telling you this and i cry of happiness cause i share something for helping you and others...so...i was taking a cocktail of drugs and when i fell asleep(which jsyk it was my only time in my life that i fell asleep with eyes open and complete concience of my surroundings)i saw her on her favourite suit and with her favourite huge pin which was a diamond rose...i tried to hug her but the more i was getting closer the more she was getting further away...i cried to her i love granma i miss you i wanna hug you and she responded:only when you take the straight way(and i know she wasnt refering to my sexuality cause i had told her when she was alive and she told me that she is still proud of me and that she loves me...next day they (as usual) i was about to take more drugs with my (then)relationship and some friends and remembered that...i am clean since then...that day my granma came again to my dream and she told me that she is proud of me and she hug me...i felt so much happier than i have excisted in my whole life...and so calmer...yeah i have very huge thing with my nerves...anyway...that was to tell you that as long they are alive in your heart and mind they are besides you anytime anywhere...hope that helps

The woman's story hit me hard. Before my grandma died I always played the piano with her and after she passed I couldn't bring myself to ever play because of the memories And the reminder she was no longer here. The pain would hurt when I'd see the piano of hers I grew up with, but this past year I realized playing was a way that made me feel like she was here. Lyrics: I was walking down 57th street towards Park With the same old song in my same old heart Making plans I'm gonna do when I get older Passed a gray-haired man and I found his eyes It's like he knew my thoughts and he read my mind Saying life is gonna find you when it's supposed to Felt my feet stop short and I turned my head Tried to lean into every word he said Then he said When you are younger You'll wish you're older Then when you're older You'll wish for time to turn around Don't let your wonder turn into closure When you get older When you get older Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Have I killed my thoughts right before their prime? Have I bit my tongue one too many times Have I said it all the way I really meant to? If I wait 'til my tomorrow comes Is the waiting all I've ever done? And will I get to Get to know myself in the place I am Get to fall in love with another man and understand When you are younger You'll wish you're older Then when you're older You'll wish for time to turn around Don't let your wonder turn into closure When you get older When you get older Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh When you are younger You'll wish you're older Then when you get older You'll wish for time to turn around Don't let your wonder turn into closure When you get older When you get older Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Also, if you’re reading this and you’re watching this video because you’re hurting: you’ll be okay. life really, really sucks sometimes. music helps us find hope in relating. give things time, give yourself a break, and try to get out of the rut. “I always get to where I’m going by walking away from where I have been” You can do this. eurouc his scene of calling the guy is during the part of "get to fall in love with another man". this video depicts overcoming things in your life (mainly fear and connections with people). also, they're both very nicely dressed, one of them fixes his hair a lot, and they make loving eye contact. they look at each other instead of just walking right up to each other and saying "how you doing?". there's a deeper love in their body language. also, it looks like one of the guys reached out to him so they could finally be together, in a hand written letter with a photo of them when they were young. that's really romantic. that's why they're most definitely gay and not just friends. they grew up and fell in love during a time when that was a huge no no (likely the 50s or 60s). knowing ben is also gay, it's very likely he incorporated the element of an old gay couple rather than two old friends

To everyone scared of growing up: I'm 18 now but last year when I was 17 I moved states for uni. I started to live alone and have my own life. It's hard, incredibly hard, but it has moments where you stop and realize that now you're fully on control. It's scary. If you don't go to the supermarket you won't have food, if you don't go to class no one will be mad but guess who will have to deal with the consequences? A quote I love: "it's ok to change (grow in this case) as long as you remember all the people you used to be" - Doctor who You got this. You'll make many mistakes but you'll learn from them, like all of us do. Take this as an opportunity to blossom into the person you always wanted to be. It's exciting

I just love how this is him letting go. We can see the progression on the videos, falling in love, living life with him, stating to fall apart, being two strangers. This is him wanting to start over. He is older, yes, but so much more himself than before. Or at least is my impression. Love ya Ben, your songs make my day.

Dear Stranger, Today is going to be a good day, and here’s why. If you’re reading this, that means you woke up today. That in itself is an incredible gift. You are perfect in your own way. The things you may see as an “embarrassment” or a “burden” are what makes you who you are. You are an amazing, unique human being. You are loved and cherished. If no one has ever told that, then I will. I love each and every one of you. You are all capable of so many great things. Today is going to be a good day, and here’s why. You’re you, and you matter. Sincerely, Me

As a trans man, I just got out of a relationship with a man I was deeply in love with. He fell out of love with me and told me straight up because he didn’t want to lead me on. He didn’t want to try over or start again. After being childish and letting that sadness tarnish how I saw him, I’m sure he doesn’t want anything to do with me. I have dreams at night that he wants things to be okay, that we continue our lives and be content. But it’s never gonna happen, so now I deleted all my connections with him, and am starting to fix myself and put myself to go and love someone again. I love your music. I listened to the love songs of this song series when we were together, and now that we’re apart I listen to this,,,, and I’m just, so glad someone gets it. And it helps me remember to think of the future, not the past. I hope you see this Ben, not to say thanks like everyone else, not to ask if you’re okay, but just to let you know I’m thankful you set this message out. In this format. This is why people should make music. When you are out of that motivation, I hope you remember shit like this helps guys who have no sad songs to turn to that isn’t just about “being sad”. It helps people process and feel. I hope you have a great day. Also yes it’s 12:00 am, yes I am eating popcorn I got from my mall job. No I’m not crying ur crying what

Emmett Creel Aaaayyyyyeeee! Trans Pride. Makes me proud to see another man who loves men. Twenty years ago, even other trans men were creepy towards those of us who marry other men. This made me PROUD as heck to see how much better, fuller, bigger, and more OPEN the world is for trans men who aren’t straight. I hope you find true love with a partner who deserves you, cherishes you, and celebrates your transness for decades and decades, the way my husband does.

Hey man, I'm really sorry you went through that, and I appreciate that you shared this. Someone falling out of love with you can be extremely painful. I'm glad Ben's music helped you, and I agree, it's a really good way to process what you're feeling.

I’ve loved this ever since it came out as I’ve been a fan of Ben’s for years. And I’d just like to say thank you to this song for truly helping me so much. My health started going downhill when I was 10, and now 6 years later I’m severely ill and disabled. I’ve lost all of my teenage years and I’m likely to not be here much longer. When I was 14 I was very depressed about my situation and was waiting for it to improve because I thought that was the only way for me to be happy. Then I heard this song and realised that that outlook would only bring along more pain and hurt, since I’m incurable. So I decided to make the most of the present and enjoy what little I have left. And whilst being bedbound and living in hospital, I taught myself all my GCSE’s without the help of teachers and achieved A*’s, I set up my own online charity to help others, I’ve read hundreds of books, and I’m also now fluent in 4 languages. So now I know if I do end up losing the fight that my short life hasn’t been a waste and I won’t be able to regret anything. Ive defied everyone’s expectations of what is possible for me to do and I intend to carry on :)

(Here's the lyrics) I was walking down 57th street towards Park With the same old song in my same old heart Making plans I'm gonna do when I get older Passed a gray-haired man and I found his eyes It's like he knew my thoughts and he read my mind Saying life is gonna find you when it's supposed to Felt my feet stop short and I turned my head Tried to lean into every word he said Then he said When you are younger You'll wish you're older Then when you're older You'll wish for time to turn around Don't let your wonder turn into closure When you get older When you get older Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Have I killed my thoughts right before their prime? Have I bit my tongue one too many times Have I said it all the way I really meant to? If I wait 'til my tomorrow comes Is the waiting all I've ever done? And will I get to Get to know myself in the place I am Get to fall in love with another man and understand When you are younger You'll wish you're older Then when you're older You'll wish for time to turn around Don't let your wonder turn into closure When you get older When you get older Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh When you are younger You'll wish you're older Then when you get older You'll wish for time to turn around Don't let your wonder turn into closure When you get older When you get older Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh

Find my seat and hyperventilate because it's real 3. it's starts and I tear up since he is so pure and amazinggggg 4. I sing along since I know the words to a lot of his songs 5. Cry and sing at the same time 6. it finishes so I leave and have to sit down on the dirty ground to catch my breath and stop crying and hyperventilating 7. I call my friend who also loves him and tell her all about it, then we both break down together! 8. Lastly I play his music again and cry knowing my life is complete now
