I'm like you, I only started to appreciate and enjoy Thanksgiving as a grownup. My parents are Asian immigrants to the US so Thanksgiving growing up was "a thing" but really never "a thing thing" as it was for my friends whose family have been in the States for a number of generations. The food we had was a mixture of Asian cuisine and the usually Thanksgiving menu - turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and green beans topped with fried onions. Today, and depending on how I feel, I choose either turkey or ham; I make my own stuffing and cranberry sauce; I realize I don't care much for the green bean and onion casserole so I haven't had it for years.

The iceberg lettuce is to hide the fact they didnt give you extra turkey when you paid for it.😅 My husband didn't want pay the hefty price of peanut oil to fry or the 25 for a whole turkey. We use Tony Chachere butter injector, dry seasoning as a rub and stuffed the turkey breast. Air fried it in the new oven 😄 best 1 1/2 hour didn't have to constantly butter it.
