I just a Camry XLE a week ago and my biggest disappointment is the crappy door sounds. I’m shocked that Toyota doesn’t get this right. I came from Mazdas. These Toyotas feel hollow behind the plastics. Mazda was solid and refined. But the gas mileage here can’t be beat by Mazda yet.

Great review. As a mechanic I know Toyotas are more difficult to work on. Must take apart or remove components to access the part to be replaced. They are nice vehicles and I have seen them well over 100,000 miles running well. But I think I'll keep my Honda for now.

In the market for a new car and test drove both of these and the Camry 100% looks better on the exterior front where as Honda looks better in the interior. Camry's interior looks more modern, but felt and looked cheap in person. The accord front is so boring but the interior quality was very nice and sleek.

In the early 2000’s the Honda Accord was a solid sedan. We’d get 2005 Accord V6 in all the time and it was awesome. The New accord is soulless. The Camry Atleast has some Lexus refinement that the Honda just doesn’t have.

23 Honda Accord Touring here. Really enjoying the car and a pleasure to drive every time! At least in the top trim, it’s borderline Acura territory. Especially with the interior. Very nice and not over done. I don’t like the new Camry’s interior and that gaping front bumper mouth is really gross. Over styled where Honda keeps it clean and classy in the Touring trim.

Personally, I will go for the Camry, I prefer its design, and on the XSE you can get a red interior and a pano sunroof, which is something the Accord doesn't offer. AWD is a huge plus for me, the Camry has more power, tests have shown that it is faster and for the first time ever, it seems like the Cmary might be the sportier vehicle of the 2, which is funny cos the Accord was always considered the sporty midsize sedan

Both are the most reliable cars, I had the Accord 2003 years ago, running over 150,000 miles without any problem, and the Accord hybrid 2014 with 200,000 miles already now, running efficiently like a new car without any issue. That is Amazing. I will stick with the Accord in life

Toyota has more options. As opposed to pick a trim. I prefer to customize the things that are more or less important to my taste and needs. I hit the lots over memorial week and weekend. Toyota had the best fit and most importantly discounts in lew of add-ons.

I’d pick the Camry you are basically getting the all wheel drive for free in the comparison. Plus it looks nicer style wise the Honda is so plain it looks cheap . I have 2020 Camry 2.5 liter it’s been a great car not one issue so far . It’s a great commuter car it rides like a much more expensive car. I always thought Honda and Toyota were even when comparing these two cars not anymore.

I’m looking at both. Camry is a better looking car, but good luck finding one--very limited availability, and the Toyota dealers in the Atlanta area are tacking on worthless add ons to drive the price above MSRP. I can get an Accord EXL for 4k cheaper than a comparable Camry XLE.

My niece graduated high school and her parents got her the 2025 Camry SE and my god this crap has so much road noise. She didn’t even want to drive it, she only wanted to drive her parents Range Rover which I don’t blame her. I told them return the car and get her a luxury car. I recommended them the Mercedes EQS580 and she loved it and got a great lease deal only $333 a month for 24 months through our broker. This is cheap lease payment for a $110k car and it’s way better. It’s great to be a business online for great lease deals.

Accord's 2 liter engine will not cut it in the long run: it is too weak. The car itself is quite heavy. Versus Camry Hybrid, it definitely has a better engine - being more durable (practical experience as I own one for 10 years now). For my money, Camry is the way to go!

Too weak? I own the car, not true at all. The car is very adequate in terms of acceleration and does not struggle at all. The cars are also actually quite similar in terms of weight. Honda is well known for their engines, I think they knew what they were doing.

I have been researching buying a new car and I conclude that the Accord and Camry are the 2 best vehicles in the world. I also conclude, trying to compare "gas" vs. Hybrid engine, I would buy the gas if I planned on owning it for less than 5 years and the hybrid if I plan on owning for more than 5 years (based on hybrids higher price, insurance cost, possible repairs vs. savings in fuel). I am currently convinced the Accord is the slightly better choice, for a reason you did not mention. That reason is that the Accord has 2 electric motors, not only one (like the Camry). The large electric motor is operating the vehicle, while the smaller electric motor operates the lights, AC, etc. The gas engine is simply powering the electric motors until you either stomp on the gas or it reaches for highway speed. Once that happens, a clutch kicks in and the vehicle is drawing power from both. I have seen mechanics (Including Camry owners) refer to this Honda engineering as genius design, yet simplicity in operation, that gives the Honda a mechanical edge over the Toyota. I plan on buying a 2024 Accord Hybrid when the 2025's come out and the 2024 price drops a little.

Yes. The AWD does have a separate motor for the rear wheels. Not only that, but I was wrong and researching the 2024 models. This video is the 2025 model, and in 2025 the Camry is a "new generation Camry" and mimics the Honda Accord and has the separate motor (a third electric motor if all wheel drive) that in 25 now separates the electric motor from the lights/ac motor. I saw the 2025 Camry at the NY auto show. The prior generation Camry se is much better looking. The Accord has been out awhile and again the prior generation was much better looking . The 2025 is plain , square and has no more chrome .The 2025s from both are not good looking at all.

Advantages for the Toyota... Camry has D-4S, so it has both port and direct injection. Accord only has direct injection, so carbon buildup on the intake valves is a certainty with the Honda, and it will never happen on the Toyota. Toyota is also significantly faster everywhere than the Camry. 0-60, 1/4 mile, any roll-on test, it leaves the Accord in the dust. Superior passing power everywhere. The tester putzing around for five minutes at a steady 35 mph isn't really testing anything. Not the engine performance, handling, ride quality, interior sound levels, fuel mileage...nothing. Toyota has no turbo on any Camry model, so it will have better long-term reliability. Camry has rear AC as standard on all trims. Accord requires the two most expensive trims to get rear AC. Camry hybrid is much less expensive than the base Accord hybrid. Camry gets better fuel mileage across the board, regardless of trim. Camry offers FWD or AWD in all trims. Accord doesn't offer AWD at all. Camry comes with a 150K-mile warranty on the hybrid battery. Accord only comes with 100K. Available 16" wheel for maximum fuel mileage, ride quality, and interior quiet. Camry is available in the U.S. with a heated steering wheel on all trims. Accord can't get a heated steering wheel even on the most expensive Touring trim. Camry is available with a panoramic roof. Accord is not. Camry offers multiple colors for the interior, including red. Accord only offers black or gray. Camry hybrid has better resale value than Accord hybrid, or Accord gas w/turbo. Camry looks like a Toyota, not an oversized Jetta or bargain-basement Audi. Advantages for the Honda... Smoother changeover transition between the gas and electric motors. More sound deadening. Roomier interior. Slightly larger trunk. Better build quality in the interior. "Safer" exterior styling. Much easier to buy at msrp or less, compared to the Camry. Much easier to spec out and find an Accord available to purchase, since Honda doesn't do the Toyota thing of offering eight bazillion unobtainium package options, none of which will ever be just the one you want.

When it comes to power train, hybrid to be specific, id go toyota. Neither is my cup of tea when it comes to exterior design, but the camry has looked sportier(dont see the point when its not) since the pre refresh. Honda tries to be more elegant, but has failed for the past 2 generation. As for interior, the accord just looks far more elegant (design, materials, tech) compared to the camry. The interior of the camry(while its the best it has ever been, should) just screams japanse(psp esque, dk how to explain it) hardware. The small vents under the screen and the fins/vents extending from the vents look awful imo. Also, whats with the ugly looking steering wheels toyota keeps pushing out. Theyve proved they can design an elegant steering wheel with the tubdra, tacoma, sequoia, and upcoming land cruiser.

Toyota pros. Toyota - faster 0-60. Toyota - Panoramic Sunroof. Toyota = more interior colour options (Black, Tan, Red, Grey) - Honda is black only. Toyota - integrated screen instead of the screen attached to the top of the dash. Toyota = comes with a spare tire. Toyota - AWD option. Toyota comes standard with a 10-year 240,000 km warranty on their hybrid battery as standard (Honda is 8 years 160,000KM). Toyota has a 360-degree camera. Toyota has Homelink universal remotes. Honda pros Honda = has memory seats. Honda has rain-sensing wipers. Honda is said to have the superior stereo system with a 12-speaker Bose set-up vs the 9-speaker JBL. Honda has 2.0 inches more legroom, slightly more headroom and cargo space. Honda you would buy for their personality and their sporty driving appeal - this generation has lost that - now they are merely appliance vehicles (like Toyota). Toyota IMO has always done "appliance" better, while Honda has always done "driving experience" better. I wish Honda stuck to what they were better at. As an appliance, the Camry offers much more for similar and less money. Toyota offers the Crown for a more luxury Camry - the Accord is as good as it gets for Honda unless you jump to Acura. However, Acura scores lower on reliability and second-hand values than Toyota or Lexus.
