Great video. I think the purpose of the Bison is more closely aligned with the intentions of the Tacoma Trailhunter rather than the Ranger Raptor. The price of the Bison and the Trailhunter is also almost identical, while the RR costs thousands less. While still respectable in terms of rock-crawling capabilities, that is not the Ranger Raptor's primary domain. Despite auto magazines comparing the two, I don't see many people cross-shopping the Bison and the RR because they are just so different. It's not quite comparing apples and oranges; more like comparing oranges and grapefruits. I mean, that's why Toyota decided to make the Trailhunter in addition to the TRD Pro. Thanks for the review.

I came very close to buying one but in the end I purchased a 21 Tundra TRD Pro doublecab. Backseat is larger, powertrain is proven and bulletproof and nothing beats a V8 rumble Oh, I also paid less than a new Colorado ZR2

The Ranger Raptor is too low to the ground, it barely looks OFF-ROAD worthy. The only thing it has going for it is it’s engine which I will admit is very good. Rumor is though that GM is working on plans to drop the TURBO CHARGED 3.6 LITER V6 from the CADILLAC CT4-V BLACKWING in this thing and that would totally blow the doors off the TACO and the RAPTOR

The raptor might have a more exciting engine but it's not as reliable as Chevy's 2.7 litre, they've been using this engine for many years now. Ford's having some issues with their twin turbo V6

@BenHardyCars5 күн бұрын

@mabelpup85025 күн бұрын
I know everyone says that 2.7 L turbo is amazing, but GM should’ve brought back a re-vamped version of the 4.3L V6 that used to be in the S-10’s. That would’ve been cool. I’m talking about longevity because we really don’t know how long these turbos are gonna last.
@Jay-me7gw5 күн бұрын
I dont say that. I think the people that say that are the ones who have been driving NA V6's that make very little torque. Anyone who has driven similar turbo motors from other brands would be somewhat disappointed with the 2.7L. I certainly was. Look at any of the towing or performance reviews of trucks with the 2.7L and it certainly does not seem to perform like an engine making 310hp/430 ft-lbs.

Meanwhile, they say this in their BMWs and Mercedes' fabulous build quality that were built in South Carolina and Alabama, which are also exported internationally. Build quality isn't the same as crap materials. A vehicle can have STRONG build quality with crap materials, and great materials with crap build quality. It's all up to how a person's shift is going. @sutnac2133 күн бұрын
That turbo four should be scrapped and the person responsible for green lighting it... Fired. It loses out to the ranger in almost every metric besides style. Our GM family will not be buying another GM vehicle for the foreseeable future. I will recommend that if you are looking for a Tahoe (wife) go and test drive the Wagoneer series 2 4*4 and I promise you won't be disappointed. If GM would have put the ecotec V8 5.3 liter in that Colorado and it was E85 capable... That would be a different story. I don't understand why you would choose a comparable displacement with Fords ecoboost 2.7 but give your customers two less cylinders but charge them more for it. It sounds like ass. They can't tow as much nor do they have a higher payload, the spare blocks the rear window, it can't match the acceleration of Fords 2.4L ecoboost engine so in my opinion GM never bothered to ask what their customers would like them to build and then build it. So, for those reasons I'm out!
