I think rebel is more rounded truck, better tech, more economical if you get the ecodeisial. Nicer interior, and better price. I drove the raptor. They are always marked up and not really impressive. Rebel drives nicer as a daily driver.

The raptor in 2022 is no longer that fast, when it was new it was but these days it's offroad/speed chops no longer justify that price + markups, it's simply an aged platform. TRX shits all over the raptor if you want an offroad/ridiculous overpowered fast truck and the rebel undercuts the raptor in price and gives you solid offroad capability, more economical powertrain options, better tech and more comfort.

I drove a rented Rebel the last 2 days. I don't know for sure if it is a 19 or 20 but I think it is the latter. I am NOT. a Dodge guy -- in fact, I wouldn't ever get one. And I still won't. However, I have to give Dodge some credit here: the ride was MUCH better than I expected and it was reasonably quiet. The Rebel I had was missing some features shown on this video. I don't think it had remote start but I may have missed it. It definitely did not have much needed side steps and an auto door unlock. No fancy steering wheel or head unit as shown. The "leather" was disappointing for the price of this truck. It isn't terrible but I have better leather in my Nissan Maxima. .No big deal for me but just be careful that if you want a Raptor-like Ram, you need to make sure you get the package with the stuff you want or need. As far as the engine, it certainly wasn't slow but 390 HP and whatever torque it is rated at doesn't feel like it. Maybe I didn't punch it but it just seemed a LITTLE sluggish. However, I must admit that it IS a worthy off road vehicle. I didn't do any serious off roading but I ran 60 mph down a gravel road with bumps, turns and elevations and it plowed right through it. Would I buy the Ram? Hell no. I can't forget 40 plus years of Chrysler junk. If you can, great. Its your money, so buy what you want. Truth be told, I wouldn't buy a Ford either. But of these two, it is a no brainer. If you can't afford the Raptor and you want one anyway, go used. Better yet, go TRD. You won't get the Raptor setup or whatever the Raptor is truly capable of (and what Ford actually warrants it for) but you get a very solid Truck that is good for 300K or more miles when taken care of.

Completely agree. The raptor is simply overpriced and definitely overrated. Everyone thinks it’s a monster but realistically mid travel kits will perform much better on other trucks. You get so much more for your money with the ram. I plan on getting one soon. The only thing I don’t like about the truck is its dial shifter.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s an extremely nice truck, but you can get more performance for the money with other vehicles if you just put a mid travel kit on it. The interior of the ram is in a different league. If ram gives the trx that’s coming out soon some good suspension travel with the hellcat motor, it will be king.

Not really a fair comparison since the rebel u picked wasn't fully loaded and you also missed some features but anyway I own a 2020 Rebel and I think the only thing I liked about the Ford better was the style from the front. You can't really pick an overall winner because it all comes down to what you really using your truck for. Strictly off road? Of course raptor but if you are not only using your truck for off road then rebel is a no brainer. Same with the engine...raptor better off road and rebel better overall and more durable....like I just said it all comes down to what you are using your truck for...neither truck is better than the other one...

Also the rebel as crazy as it is at that price point even for 2020 does not have a memory driver seat and shouldnhave vented too. Rebel alsondoea not have 360 camera system either. Ordered a power wagon, which ykur reviews did assist with thanks, also becuase of the winch setup. Not any real offerings for hidden winch on rebel that is not a rigged kit with limitations. Can always add the huge front grills or replace the bumper but wasnt interested in that.

Turbos needing to be replaced, cam phasers replaced, coolant leaks all over the place. rear ends going out. Or before 30,000 miles. That’s why people are dumping them. Complete garbage! Do some research. The raptor is the biggest rip off in the history of vehicles. Trust me I know. I have one. There is no comparison...2 different trucks....Yes both 1/2 ton crew cab trucks, but designed to do somewhat different things. Ram is a very good truck with now the best interior in the business...while the Raptor is a off road sport truck that works rather awesome on road and for which there is no equal offered by any other manufacture rolling off the showroom...
