Thanks for the review... One of your alternatives left me confused. It's the AOC 24G2U ... I have that thing and want something better. It seems all out terrible in terms of motion clarity, ghosting etc and nothing helps not overdrive, shadow control...mbr, sync on off, low fps, high fps capped. Lower hz... For example in a certain map (obviously the problem is everywhere in the game) in Fortnite you have these circles (a gui to select stuff) if i rapid motion over those they turn into the Audi symbol or the olympics..It's disgusting 🤣 ... Not sure if that's ghosting, artifacts but it's clear that there's something about fast motions in that game that monitor doest like doing.. double images all over the place. Sorry for being verbose. Just weird that monitor is an alternative for a specific needs monitor like this one.

@@dco1019 thanks, glad you liked the review. As for the alternative, you're right it's not quite perfect against what's being reviewed, but I like to provide my viewers with options, and that to me is the best FHD 144Hz IPS for the money. As for your experiences, that's really odd. I certainly didn't experience that - you can watch the review if you're interested. It's got minimal ghosting. Are you sure it's that model you've got and not the VA variant which does suffer from the things you mentioned?

I think you should try capping your framerate, just for shits and giggles. I've gotten many people to figure out that consistency in aim-feel can be much more important than any (variable!) difference in input latency (with tearing) if you're getting like 240-350 fps or something like that.

Nice video. Just had one nit tho - you really *SHOULD* cap your frames on those potato games. It's incredibly hard for your gpu/monitor to pump out ~1k frames a second. You don't want to put that kind of stress on the hardware. I'd definitely cap it at either your refresh rate or a handful above it (300?). but yeah please, don't let your framerate run wild in those potato games.
@TotallydubbedHD3 жыл бұрын
Honestly can't see an issue there, namely if you're talking about hardware life/span.

@@TotallydubbedHD cards struggle to regulate voltage when you start pushing above 1k fps. this can cause coil whine, and even kill the hardware if its not designed properly. all in all - there is not much a point to max out frames in potato games. just play it safe and cap it at a reasonable fps.
