Montreux switzerland have produced some of the best images of the great Gospel singers... What a shame that the U.S. didn't realize the treasure existing in the black churches! I would be so glad to see a concert of Bessie in her home church!!! She left us, and I just hope this type of document will stay forever as a testimony of her art.

Thanks for sharing this performance, had never heard of Bessie Griffin but she's obviously one of the greats. I too sing gospel at my church. Church is across the street from where Bessie rests, Forest Lawn.
