My first ever designer purchase was actually a Cartier bag, which I never see anyone talk about. I just thought that the burgundy leather was so gorgeous, as well as the little Cartier logo details on it. My next two bags were both MCM bags, which are some of my favourites aesthetically, I much prefer their monogram over the LV monogram so I’m super excited that they are coming back into style. My next bag is a Fendi monogram satchel bag which is on its way to me right now, I’m so excited 🙏 I think it’s funny that none of my bags are a part of your collection, but we do have very different tastes I think

I fell in love with the Chanel tote without realising it was a Chanel, I got the Primark knock off years ago and it became my go to bag until it fell apart, about 6 months ago I realised its designer roots and also realised that the Chanel tote is no longer available new

My first high end luxury bag was a Chanel flap bag too. I don’t think I would be able to do that now, unless I bought a vintage one, but back in the early 1990s they weren’t so expensive new that they were out of my reach. It was the Diana single flap in black with the real gold hardware. I went for the lambskin as I intended to use it as an evening bag and I still do. Lambskin has a lot of bad press, and you do have to be willing to commit to a certain amount of caution and maintenance if you buy one, but if you are it will repay you. Mine still looks fabulous even though it’s nearly 30 years old. Sure, it has collected some scratches and scuffs but they are so slight I have to go looking for them with my glasses on so it isn’t a big issue.

I got Gucci camera bag as my first luxury bag. I didn’t do enough luxury handbag research that time. I didn’t want to spend too much so and I was traveling in Europe, walked into a Gucci store at the airport and just went for it 😆 Wish I gave more thoughts to it but I didn’t want to spend so much money but then I started getting into buying more! 😆😆😆 You are right, once you get one, you start wanting more. My second is the coco handle. Coz I like too handheld and able to put on shoulder or crossbody. Really looking forward to the flip bag before it price increase again. God’s willing.

Totally agree with this video :-) All sensible suggestions! I currently have 5 luxury bags (very thoughtfully considered 5). My first was Chanel Classic Flap in M/L, the second was Speedy B 25 (which I adore and is my most used bag), 3rd - Neverfull, 4th - Prada Bucket Tote (that's quite new and structure), and 5th - Chanel Boy. I am glad your experiences at Dior have been consistently fabulous. I have only been to the Dior store in Sydney once and the service was appalling, as opposed to the Chanel store across the road where it actually was fabulous.

Oh no. That's such a shame. I think it makes all the difference and if the service isn't good don't go. That's the first time I've heard something negative about Dior- I'm hopefully coming to Australia next year so may check it out. Maybe they just aren't as good at picking the staff there. Okay, for those who can't afford even a second hand designer bag, consider the quilted leather flap bags that Canetti and other Florentine makers sell on Amazon. Michael Kors Susannah is very similar to the Chanel tote. Mulberry is very expensive, but the Lily is a fraction of the cost of the Chanel

I love lady Dior, but I am so afraid of color transferring since I wear jeans a lot. So I got a dark brown one from the second hand market. But I love those pearl pink blue color and lighter color ones....Not sure what color I should buy if I want it to be fittable for my jeans styles.

Not sure if you care on my reason why I don't use an organizer in my speedy, but I'll share it anyways lol, hope it's helpful. The reason why I don't is because it would make me want to put so many things in there/fill in the compartments that I didn't really need and thus make the bag heavier. My organizer is light and it's nice to have but, like minks4all says I would put everything and the kitchen sink in it lol (sorry if I misquoted her but she says something and the kitchen sink). After taking the organizer out, I now only have my cosmetic pouch, sunglass case, glasses case, my gm agenda, a cardholder, my airpods, and a case that holds my cord and block chargers for my iPhone. I put my cardholder, my airpods, a chapstick, and keys in the little pocket it has. I should buy a keyholder but not sure yet. Overall, even with the gm agenda, it's still way lighter and when I take out the gm agenda it's even lighter.

The classic Chanel Jumbo bag is ugly. I bought the Trendy CC in pink as my first bag, and I love it. Buy what you like! As you mentioned before, if you buy a bag thinking you might need to sell it in the future maybe you shouldn't buy such item. Also, I don't think buying a Louis Vuitton is worth it. At least where I live everyone has one, and there are a lot of knock offs☹️

I won’t buy either one of these. Hope you don’t mind I say it. I love Chanel CF but against their marketing strategy. LV bags are pretty much screaming at you everywhere. Too many people wearing the same brand makes me uncomfortable.
