Skincare makes me feel like I’m starting and ending my day right, it baffles me that there are people out there that don’t even use a cleanser on their face or any product for that matter EVER, and somehow breakout less than me. 😫

Hence why they don’t go through the whole skin care routine. All my life I never had a skin care routine and I had smooth skin. I never had a cleanser, toner, serum ect. I washed my face in the shower, and applied my moisturizer in my room and I was done. It wasn’t until after I had my daughter in my early 20’s then I had acne like no other since then my skin haven’t return back to normal

@mynameisroo944 жыл бұрын
@@fg1434 I think this is true... I've often had ok skin, only some breakouts, but I've struggled with oil for a few years. I just have replied on blotting paper.... but as I am 26 now my pores started getting bigger, and I've noticed for the past year or so fine lines are starting to appear, so I want to start taking more action now. I'm now using cleanser and toner and anti-age cream at night, and will start using a gentle morning cleaner when it arrives. Before... just whatever body wash I was using in the shower and maybe a simple moisturiser (or whatever cream I put on my body) or SPF lmao.

My dermatologist (I had the worst case of cystic acne) actually told me to stop applying products on my face, I just wash it in the shower with water and my skin has never looked so good. I truly think the skincare industry made us believe we need a 10 steps morning routine when it's not the case.

honestly, the isntree green tea emulsion (more for oily/combo/sensitive) and the isntree aloe soothing emulsion (for normal/dry/sensitive) are SO SO SO underrated, no one talks about them! Even though they are emulsions, it's like a light lotion that moisturizes so nicely. The ingredients are just wow and the price too. Their aloe gel 50 and their aloe gel 80 is also so nice and moisturizing (use before moisturizer)! Their hyaluronic acid toner is popular and really wonderful! Honestly guys give it a try!

1 thing everyone should understand is if you have skin issues the issue comes from the inside. your diet has alot to do with skin issues. all this stuff treats skin from the outside in but you need to be treating your skin from the inside out. the symptoms appear on the outside but the root cause starts on the inside. always treat the root cause to any and all bodily issues.

My husbands dermatologist told him to avoid caramel color, dark sodas, chocolate etc because it causes acne. I learned that human beings are obligate carnivores. our natural human species diet is predominantly animal flesh. so meat and organ meats. dairy such as cheese and milk is ok in its organic raw form. so you don't need to avoid that. what you want to avoid is sugar and anything that breaks down into sugar in the body like carbohydrate. if you want healthy skin eats saturated fat from animals and the protein from animals. and you also want to avoid the missing of macronutrient because you risk provoking sometimes called the Randle cycle.

@bunnyluuuvvv4 жыл бұрын
From watching james and mixed makeup, I've learned that products meant for dry skin can actually help those with oily skin! That's because people with dry skin usually lack hydration and the same usually goes for those with oily skin! The lack of hydration in oily skin is sometimes what makes the oil glands overproduce oil and make you look shinier. I have oily skin and after always trying to strip my skin of oil, I decided to start hydrating it even more with a hydrating cleanser and hydrating serums and it really helped me, hope this helps!

u can use it as a humectant (which attracts water and keep it on your skin) but a moisturizer usually also work as an occlusive (which keep the water from evaporating from your skin), also aloe vera is slightly astringent so I don't think it should be used every day but it depends of your skin type, if your skin is healthy and not sensitised u should be ok :)

What happens if we don't apply moisturizer? I feel my skin is oily after applying moisturizer, Can I apply face powder on top of moisturizer??
@JamesWelsh6 жыл бұрын
Hey! As someone with oily skin too, moisturising is still super important for us to do! By not moisturising, your denying your skin of moisture, and your skin will react to the lack of moisturiser by creating more oils! I find that using an oil as a Moisturiser at night, helps my skins oils stay in control

@@JamesWelsh I heard that oils clog our pores causing dust to attract and form pimples, is that statement true?
@JamesWelsh6 жыл бұрын
Hmmmm no not really. Especially the bit about dust! I recommend you watch my video about oils...a few videos back :)

Nice video 😊 Lush actually contains parabens so it’s actually not that natural 😁 But it should make it stay fresh longer I guess!
@JamesWelsh6 жыл бұрын
Yeah that’s why I said ‘more on the natural side’ rather than natural! Saying that, some of their products also contain natural parabens. So this idea that parabens are always harmful, has to go! 😂
@TammyYaKnow6 жыл бұрын
James Welsh I actually prefer parabens to microorganisms living in my moisturizer to be honest, so not hate for parabens 😂 I didn’t know there were natural parabens, today I learned! Thanks😊 I am just curious how natural parabens are sourced 🤔 I think I‘ll have to google that 😂
@JamesWelsh6 жыл бұрын
Yeah me too! When I worked for Lush, they just started putting parabens in their products because people always complained about how they’d spoil quickly and they’d grow mould on and stuff 🤭 natural parabens are in things like blueberries and carrots :)
@TammyYaKnow6 жыл бұрын
James Welsh And now people complain about the parabens 😂 Poor Lush, humans are so hard to please. I didn’t know you used to work for Lush but I can vividly imagine you showing me every soap etc and how soft my skin is after applying their products 😁 The people at lush are always so lovely (at least here they are)😊 Whaaat I didn’t know that! That’s actually really cool 😁

Nowadays, my skin is become dry , i had oily skin and now it's so dry, tell me what to do, I'm using petroleum jelly continuously. Please tell
@JamesWelsh6 жыл бұрын
Heyyyy! Are you dry but still a bit oily? Could be dehydration! Petroleum jelly is great for keeping moisture in the skin m, but doesn’t add any moisture. Using a nice thick moisturiser will help with a few drops of jojoba oil added in!
