Morgan Taylor's "Black Shadow" is the best black I've used, and although it probably isn't as good as Cristine's "One-Coat Black," it's usually available for pretty cheap on Amazon and it's opaque in 1 thin coat.

My favorite black polish ive come accross in my experience is Sally hanson hard as nails Black heart. I just lucked out on it being the third black polish ive ever used and being very opaque and quick drying. Never needed to look for a different one.

Broadway Nails-High Shine #59 Black Out. It is amazing. One coat and it's like staring into the abyss. It is a shiny finish polish and lasts a while even without a taco. The best thing about it is it is generally around 1-2 American dollars. Most Walgreens, Targets, and Dollar Generals have it.

I have a few of them and they are good enough, but I always have to use 2 layers with them :( And some take a long time to dry... "Better than gel nails" from Essence is a life saver, though - easily the best top coat I've ever had, adds crazy shine and my manicure lasts up to 2 weeks with it - yes, I said *two weeks*.
