No one is literally covering the value prop of the 380s or 380 in general like this channel. We also get adaptive dampers (DCC) that usually comes in the autobahn trim, and it should be mentioned as well.

As a fellow bigger guy (6'5" 290) I really appreciate your reviews and perspectives. I'm a father of two under 2 and we currently own a '22 4Runner but are actively shopping for a new daily driver for myself. Mainly considering either a new or used GTI or Civic SI. Im really considering the mk8, vb wrx, fk8. Its so hard to choose. Only negative i see on the gti is wheel spin once tuned. I love the way they look tho and get great mpg

I've always thought the Volkswagen GTI was a beautiful car inside and. However, having a Caribbean background and being born and raised in Miami, Honda or Toyota will typically get my money. Crazy thing is that VW went down when they started having their stuff assembled in Mexico and Brazil. The Volkswagens made in Germany are rock solid. I guess after they really stepped their game up over the years to make sure they are reliable everywhere.

Yup I agree and you and I have similar backgrounds so I know exactly what you mean, I think all the new GTI's and Golf R's are built in Germany so that helps.

Besides tune-ability, why this over the WRX? Also, how does this compare to your 7.5 Golf R?

It's a better daily because of all the creature comforts you get for the money, like on the base model you get heated seats, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, a spare tire, decent sound system, faster 0 to 60 and overall faster car stock for stock, and I'd say my 2019 Golf R is slightly better than this GTI but only because of the AWD and other small things that's better on the MK7.5 in general like the infotainment system, but overall the MK8 GTI is right there with the MK7.5 Golf R.

Yup that's another great choice, but when you add in the back seat space, storage space, features, cost of ownership plus cost to mod, then GTI beats out the LT1, the LT1 is the best budget V8.
