Hi everyone, I had an All American Trap combo and I loved it. It shot very consistently. Though it wore out extremely fast! The but pad wore out in 1 year. Then after 3 years I wore out everything. The gun feels like a wet noodle. The high adjustable rib on the unsigle barrel also rattled out of the box! This is only on the combo but if you send back the barrel CZ can’t fix the problem. We tried several times. Also the full chokes included with the gun patterned horribly and shot left about 3 feet. If u only plan to shoot not many targets a year this gun would work but I don’t recommend it. If you plan to shoot often avoid CZ break actions like the plague. I would recommend spending the extra cash for a SKB or a Browning they are much nicer, much higher quality,and much more serviceable.

I have one of the CZ All-American SBT guns. I shoot only in League but have had it about a year and a half. CZ did a self recall on the single barrel guns for a potential trigger issue. No actual issues were reported so I give the manufacture high marks for quick action. Yes it may have been a CYA thing but with so many recalls in other industries, auto for one, CZ stepped up and did it. You do have to send the gun back to them for inspection but they pay for everything. Don't be in a hurry as it is first come first serve. I really like the gun for shooting singles and short handicap as that is where my shooting ability is currently. My CZ just enilates targets if I do my part. I shoot IM choke with normal trap loads and many times the break is not smoke but nothing left in the air. I have had more the one scorer ask where did the bird go? Big smile! Is it a 10,000 round per year gun, I don't know and don't intend to find out.

CZ 600 had to be "fixed" to prevent the barrel swapping which was one of the features of the original CZ 600. Too bad, this trait was lost, at least temporarily, but frankly speaking, I believe that over 99% of buyers would not ever use it, anyway. The recall was a matter of the image. A testing shooter hurt his arm and had a concussion after the barrel was replaced sloppily. Now, this may be blamed on someone who did it but the point is that the test shooting at CZ is a professional enough environment and if an accident can happen there, it can happen in more ordinary buyers' homes, too. So as a CZ shareholder, I was nervous about the financial consequences but of course, once I see that they were next to none, I applaud this action. When something like that happen, it may happen repeatedly, and the safety of buyers must stand above an unessential feature.

I have a question if you don't mind. I have been around guns all my life. I have been hearing a phrase the last 6 months to 9 months that is throwing. The unsingle shotgun, that phrase doesn't make sense to me. You either have two barrels (sxs or over/under) or one barrel a single shot. What makes a shotgun with one (single shot) barrel an unsingle??
@HALWG514 ай бұрын
It's the "under" barrel. 10:45
@williamcastleberry73384 ай бұрын
@@HALWG51 It's still just a single shot. I just don't understand people giving an outrageous price for a single shot shotgun. I have a couple of single shots , a three pumps an three semi auto's and three o/u and I think that's it. I didn't give near the K range for any of them. Thank You for telling me what it was.
@JHruby4 ай бұрын
@@williamcastleberry7338An "unsingle" is simply shorthand for a single barrel fitted to fire from the under position of an over/under action. This configuration has specific advantages for singles trap, DTL, and a few other disciplines. Many unsingle barrels are on an o/u action so a double barrel can be used on the same action for doubles, Olympic/bunker, etc.
@williamcastleberry73384 ай бұрын
@@JHruby Thank you for the information. I have never been around any of the unsingles. So I didn't know what the difference was. To me it was either a single shot or a double barrel. I had never owned a double until the last year. Now I own three of them (a set of Filthy Pheasant) by GForce. They are not high dollars guns. They do seem to be well made, and pleasing to my eyes. And They seem to pretty good.

How far away is that road from the shooting position at the trap range there?
@Marshmellow-ip4vs4 ай бұрын
The road is far enough that cars don’t get hit but it’s fun to drive by and hear the shooting with the window down after state trap tournament

Small shot sizes commonly used in trap, such as # 7 1/2, 8 and 9 have a pretty short range. Those tiny pellets are losing a lot of speed around 100 yards. No way they’re making it to the road

@@HALWG51 You do realize the effective pattern on a shotgun drops into the field way before it even remotely gets near that traffic, We're talking small shot, not bullets or solid projectiles here.

I had a CZ All-American Trap before I got my new gun. I have probably 3,000 rounds through this gun. I was very disappointed that this gun had multiple firing pins broken on the gun and front beads. Can not trust this gun to perform on the line.

I had this gun it was awesome all except the lockup was way to stiff and would not loosen up. I sent it back to CZ they. replaced the whole gun but it was still the same. I sold it and bought the Fabarms. BTW mine was the trap combo and the lockup on the double barrel was not an issue just the single and I used cleanzoil grease lubricant, ran a lot through it and spent hours rocking the barrel back and forth to try and loosen it up. Nothing worked

Before people start on Turkish guns, remember Turkey is a member of NATO. Savage/Stevens shotguns are made in CHINA. Turkey has also made guns for Weatherby & others.

They have a long history of firearms manufacturing as well. The Ottomans were one of the orginal gunpowder empires as well. That said I understand the want to buy somthing American, Italian or English the truth is American shotgun manufacturing is becoming very limited and the rest are freaking expensive! Turkish Guns from reputable company seem to be a good affordable alternative choice.

Why would you want, or need, a ported barrel on a single shot trap gun?
@BrokenBarBox4 ай бұрын
Trap shooters will go through cases of ammo while practicing. The ported barrel helps with recoil on those long days preparing for an upcoming competition
@JHruby4 ай бұрын
Try shooting a big trap tournament without one. Especially if you shoot multiple events. Every recoil reduction mod is welcome when you're pounding out hundreds of rounds per day for a whole weekend or longer.

As you surely understand, it is all-American by the design, not by the place of production. Turks are nice people and they suck, bla bla bla, but they still eliminated Czechia in soccer, so doing some manual labor might be OK there. I would bet that the design was put together by a Czech.
