Best Coin Stashes in Every Mario Game

Hey guys welcome to a very fun video where I go over the absolute best places to find mountains of coins in each and every single Super Mario Bros entry. 4:30, IIRC, you can also collect a 3-UP Moon in the same area once you collect all the coins.

SMB3: Final fortress in world 7… the one where there are no enemies and the timer is only 2 min. You can keep going back to hit the switch and keep getting unlimited coins.

I'm kinda surprised you forgot about secret coin stashes in Mario Galaxy. Now, I'm gonna explain a few stashes: First is that one I just saw in Bubble Breeze Galaxy; if you collect ? Coins, you can collect a lot of coins. The max amount of coins throughout the whole area is 145, and I collected them all several times. In Bubble Blast Galaxy, it's the same idea, but the max coin amount is now 105. And in Ghostly Galaxy, in Luigi and the Haunted Mansion, there's this crack in the floor. If you ground-pound it, you can collect a ? Coin in the middle to make about 40 coins appear throughout the room. To collect them all, use Sling Stars around the room. So, these are some stashes you missed.

I remember finding the one in Ghostly Galaxy and being like “was this always here?” My personal favorite coin stash in this game aside from the Bubble Breeze one you just mentioned is the ? Coin in Star 1 of Freezeflame. I’ve heard it’s just *barely* possible to get every single one of those, but I’ve never been able to do it.

@@bdt2002gaming Oh, the one in Freezeflame Galaxy! I forgot! There's a ? Coin in the middle of the ice water, and you have to skate on it with the ice flower to collect coins, up to 80!

@@jacobvanantwerp2001 Yeah, if anyone’s able to pull this off in real time without a TAS bot and show me, I’ll be absolutely stunned. I’m genuinely convinced grabbing all 80 in time is impossible, and even TAS is cutting it extremely close.

The great thing about coins, especially coin stashes, in Mario games is that they are the perfect "stop and smell the roses" feature. You generally don't need coins or even tangibly benefit from them. It makes you actually stop and think about what you're doing. You're not playing the game just to get through the levels. You're playing it for fun. You have to stop and appreciate that it's just satisfying to get the coins. Perhaps you even pretend you're Mario and that you'll use them later to buy some stuff. This idealism is arguably even more apparent in the Mario Maker games. In almost every individual level, there's zero advantage to collecting coins. The level creator didn't have to put effort into placing them. Nobody would complain if they were left out. But it shows that the creator cared about the player having a more satisfying, cuter experience. And that means something to me. Even in endless mode, you rarely need coins because the creator can just place 1 ups instead; so the idealism is still apparent.

✨️For Super Mario 64, you forgot to mention the Tall Tall Mountain slide. Which you can get to if you jump into the wall. You can get a lot of coins if you get them all maybe about 50 or 60.🌟

super mario 64. i think the last bowser fight lets you get 999 coins. it just takes forever

NSMBWii World 4-Castle has an infinite coin glitch that eventually crashes your game due to the number of coins spawned.

In Super Mario Odyssey, There is a Sphinx statue in Darker Side who will give a final quiz. If you answer all the questions, you will get a very large pile of coins. There is also a very very tall stack of coins behind the skyscraper at the end of Darker Side.

Odyssey actually has another one in either Sand Kingdom or Lost Kingdom. There's a mission where you have to maneuver a Bullet Bill through a maze where most of the floor is poison, but you can actually get on top of the ceiling in that area, which hides a coin stash

my biggest omg moment in Odyssey was when I jumped on top of the bullet bill lava maze from Sand Kingdom, which felt so illegal to do, and there were actually coins there, like a sarcastic little pat on the back from the developers

For Super Mario Sunshine you should've mentioned Pianta Village episode 5, that level you can find a pianta statue, pound his nose to get many coins, pound the bath pit to get many coins, and the mushrooms also hold many coings with one mushroom in particular giving you around 30 coins if you pound it. You could've also said Pinna Park episode 5, because in the beach of this course there are Flyin' Stus all over that give you many coins not even mentioning the sand of this beach where spraying it can easily get you to 100 coins within' just a couple minutes for there is always coins in this level.

I would also add the airport. The whole point of that area is basically just to collect coins and get a couple blue coins and a shine.

You forgot about the casino in the basement of Hotel Delfino. Just spray water on the slot machine with the curved rainbows. Just make sure that you don't get the three Shine Sprite icons while you do so.

I love NSMB2 but they could have handled the coin system way better, you only get a different intro screen when you collect the goal and thats it? Wish they would have implemented a secret world, maybe a Gold World or something more special.

The super Mario 3D world coin train comes back, at least in the switch version. I think you have to play a set number of courses and it respawns-

10:20 NSMBWii is literally the hardest Mario game I have attempted to 100% and the one which had the hardest difficulty curve, even with the infinite life glitch in 1-3. Super Mario 64 and 3D World were difficult, but not THIS difficult.
