TS3 is a winner for me. Best deal now is Mizuno which you can pick up for mid $200s now. Great stuff guys.

Love the testing. When I got fitted, I got the best ball speeds off the Callaway and that is what is in my bag. Don't think it will be going anywhere for a while.

TS3 is so good. Hard to believe it could fall into the category of sleeper. It's quick, produces a great ball flight, looks great at set up....and the sound is on point. Always get people asking what driver it is at the range. Was nice to see Matty getting along with it so well!

Awesome comparison guys ! Matty is right about least forgiving saying F9 2nd worst. Thats the main reason why I’m swapping out of my F9 and into the G410 plus next spring ! Merry Christmas! And here’s to hitting more fairways in 2020 with my G410 plus !

Great test having gamed the flash and recently tried the f9 i have gone with the g410 due to forgiveness, ball speed and accuracy. I haven't played a more user friendly driver in my golfing years it's an outstanding driver and will be in my bag for years to come I'm sure.

Well done boys. I love my TS3. All the guys at the local club champion fitting center game it. Ping looks solid as well. Just don’t care for the look
@joelforthuber20105 жыл бұрын
Will low spinner aid in snap hooking most of my drives? Even when I manage a baby cut and some hang time it starts high and hot but I drops out of nowhere. Hitting the ping g lst set at 8.5 with tour stiff shaft. Something like 60 grams. My swing tempo is quick to fast. Seeing driver swing speeds 115 to 110, should I be considering and x shaft
@coegj5 жыл бұрын
Just another note for and about low spin drivers and old people, several weeks ago I picked up off eBay at a decent price a very good condition Mizuno st180 with a Tensei CK Blue 60 gram shaft, a shaft which I'm very familiar with and like. I only had a chance to hit it on our driving range two different days before the weather turned bad and the course closed, no matter what setting I had it adjusted to I could not get it into the air and fly, that driver head for me just sent the ball up in the air slightly and it just fell out of the sky and went no where. Hmmmmm, then I would hit my driver and hit it very well and quite far, for me. Lesson learned for me, or maybe other old people, stay away from low spin drivers. Just saying, thanks guys very good video are usual. PS I will get this driver into the hands of a younger player with more swing speed than me, next spring.

Interesting... Tested out the Epic and TS3 multiple times this year before pulling the trigger on the Epic because it was more forgiving in the numbers and slightly faster (wanted to walk out with TS). Just goes to show how important the fitting experience is.

Since I started playing golf in 2010 I bought a new driver every year but this looks like the first time the TS3 driver will also be there in the 2020 season😱 ...very good performance, enough distance but also a lot of fairways and that is even better👍🏽 But also liked the Mizuno St190 and the Ping G410 LST

Such a great year for drivers, and having followed all your guys' reviews this year...if each of the clubs in the video was hit in its "fitting" configuration for Matty, the numbers might be a complete toss up. I think most of us remember him hitting 184+ with the F9 in a slightly different setup! With the right fitting, this year someone can really choose the one they prefer without leaving performance on the table.
@RayH405 жыл бұрын
It’s funny how you see all of the new tech that brands have advertised this past year. Only to have Ping, who just had moveable weights for the first time in their driver, to be a front runner on ball speed and ball speed retention across the face. Seems like Ping is ahead of the pack on where the market is, even while flying under the radar for the general golf population
@stephendibari77045 жыл бұрын
Exactly why ill be swapping out my F9 head for a G410 Plus next spring ! F9 was too erratic with spin and not very forgiving with the 14 gr. Weight forward. I’d hit a great drive of 265-270, than what felt like a solid hit would ballon and lucky i get 230 yards ! LOve the sound/feel of the F9 but the erratic spin and less forgiving head has me jumping ship ! I’ll be doing the same for the 3 & 4 woods and 3H & 4H also. F9 hybrids have glued hosels which aren’t helping my miss left. No flat lie settings on the F9 fairways either , just another reason to swap out with Ping G410’s !

@bmathis265 жыл бұрын
A huge part of driver value to me is the stock shaft offering and what they charge for exotics... to me when cobra offers the Atoms TS line and Calloway charges $250 for the shaft makes it tough... to me the best value is the TS2/3 Cobra and one that was not in here and that’s the Srixon 785.

I had a g400 lst and loved it- swore I wouldn’t change. Then the hosel cracked and shop gave me a refund/gift card so I went to replace it with another 400 lst or 410.... but while there I tested out a few to be sure .... and it turned out to be the st190 was the winner! Slightly more consistent dispersion and on average a couple yards longer with a slightly lower trajectory. Very stable feeling as well. Also I thought the st190 looked a little nicer and sounded WAY nicer. Also it was a bargain which is nice! Ended up getting the st190 with kuro kage S silver shaft. Final point though, the epic flash sz gave me my longest shots by quite some distance... a good 10 yards extra carry on my best hits. Low spinning, massive bomb balls that made me feel great. But then bad hits with it were appalling! No way I could game it consistently at this point!

I was a little disappointed that you guys never gave the TOUR EDGE EXOTICS EXS driver a better look after it compared very well against a fitted epic flash driver. at $299(US$) and the fact that you could have any shaft they offered in the CBX line upgrade at no upcharge . The EXS is one of the top drivers made. Way better than my M1 430 and I thought nothing would replace it.

Wouldn't mind seeing Matty get fit for a little bit higher lofted ST 190, that club is a real sleeper if you ask me. Gotta give props to Titleist this year for bringing out a winner in TS3. I don't love the crown either... a little too "old school" for a millennial like me ;)

Why aren't club-fitters able to sell just the driver head only, at a discount to MSRP (ie no stock shaft)? I always find it strange that the customer pays for the full MSRP of the club, but when getting a custom shaft, there is no credit for fore-going the stock shaft?

Did you all ever test the Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero Triple Diamond?
@rufussthoo40835 жыл бұрын
Hey guys, is there an 'ideal' shaft that matches the characteristics of a head better than another shaft? Does that play a factor in choosing a shaft vs merely picking a shaft for the player? Is that something you can test?
@josephscherer7295 жыл бұрын
Hey guys I asked on another video but just curious I swing a lot like matt but I struggle with fades... is there a better players lower spin driver that you found to be more draw biased? Heard you say the ST190 very fade biased, which is unfortunately what I got fit for and it is a serious struggle.
