Can you tell I had sunscreen stinging my eyes before filming this lol? Also, my skin is a little compromised in a lot of the application footage because of esthi school, so most of the redness you see isn't SPF-related. Hope you're all well! xoxo, Ramon

That daily defense serum made my eyes PUFF up! It looks like the serum & the lotion have the same formula, except the lotion includes fragrance and the serum has ginger extract. I swear neutrogena goes out their way to burn eyes down, it’s giving petty & malicious at this point 😒

I recently tried the neutrogena60+ lotion SPF and I love how it applies and leaves no white cast. I noticed the same with the burning of the eye. So now I only use it on the bottom half of my face since it applies into the beer nicely, then I just use a mineral spf on the top portion and that eliminates the burning of the eye at any point during the day weather I sweat or wipe my eyes for whatever reason :)

Thanks for comparing the Neutrogena products! I've been using the Hydroboost sunscreen a lot lately but wishing it didn't make me look so shiny and thinking the Invisible Defense would be more matte. Maybe I just need to start measuring and use a little less! I agree with you in wishing these products were fragrance-free - Neutrogena makes several other products in regular and fragrance-free versions, we know they have the technology. Also intrigued by the Garnier Green line. I'm gonna have to see if it's available in my area.

I frequently experience eye burning no matter what the brand. While I really enjoy the Neutrogena Daily Defense Serum, it definitely burns the worst out of all the drugstore chemical sunscreens I’ve tried. It’s a very spicy burn 😅 However, I found that if I stay outside the orbital bone and use a mineral spf on the eye area, I don’t experience any issues. It’s a great daily sunscreen to wear under makeup!

The texture of the daily defense serum reminds me of the differin spf 30( my go to these days). Much more price effective think $10 for 4oz. It does sting my eyes if I’m not careful(rubbing them) so I just use BGS around my eye area. Been waiting for the canna b to go on sale so I can try it 😁

I'm on my third Neutrogena Hydro Boost SPF 50 bottle. I haven't had any eye irritation with it. I have combo-oily skin and am surprised it didn't make me extra dewy, but I also use a pore controlling toner beforehand so that may have helped too.

The Neutrogena invisible stuff smells so strongly of perfume. I noticed there is an identical formula (at least of the facial mist) that has either no fragrance or way less. It is in the same type of bottle it is just white instead of pink.

Hey Ramon! I wonder if you'd like the Native Sunscreen. It has 20% zinc oxide and goes on without a white cast! I've been loving it as a brown skinned girl but nobody's talking about it! I hope to see your take on how it performs.
@diananemoy74093 жыл бұрын
I adore native and wanted to love this especially with the great packaging too. Was horrible for my oily blemish prone skin. When pumping out it looks super light yet second I rub in it become tacky and heavy hence the usual of why i cannot find a more pure zinc spf om planet earth that I can use lol. The super lightweight liquid zincs our there are insanely silicone heavy (why my skin hates) hence feel like primers. Glad the Native worked out for someone, their body version is comically lighter than the face!

I am loving the direction that Neutrogena is going with their “gen z” sunscreen vibe but when I apply a crap ton it is really greasy and unforutnaly it burns my eyes and even at the end of the day if I avoid my eye area they still tend to start stinging.

Hey - wondering if the caproyl salicylic acid in the garnier serum is supposed to boost spf? Apparently SA shows up in sunscreen formulations and I swear the ring structure of SA helps to boost SPF a lil bit as it functions a bit like a filter?

I've never tried European sunscreens but it seems like the textures are usually more lightweight than those here in north America.. is that because of the nature of the filters used?

I just bought the neutrogena hydroboost sunscreen which one is oxebenzone free, it has avobenzone, homosalate, octisalate and octocrylene. But the smell, I don't mind fragrance I actually enjoy it. But the smell is really strong and takes a while to go away.

The Neutrogena IDD Serum doesn't smell great and I was reeeeally concerned about shine when I first put it on because it looked a little too greasy on my oily-ish skin, but the finish actually looked pretty good on me after it set. Unfortunately all of their chemical sunscreens burn my eyes like crazy so I have to use something else in that area; I'm hesitant to use the Face Mist for the same reason, although I bought it because I'm a sunscreen sucker.

Neutrogena burns my eyes (around the orbitals) so bad for like 5-8 minutes. It is not just tingling, it’s burning like my eyes were on fire 😞 I tried 3 of their product line and they’re all the same. So I now use them on my neck and chest. I love the finish and texture but the eye burn was just too much. Had the burn be like a few seconds, I might consider using them again but geeezzz more than a minute was just too much! I really tried to tolerate a few times but “nope, thank you” anymore.

Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense formula (both serum and spf lotion) sucks!!! the ingredients separate so it looks questionable. so i don't even use them anymore. it's gross. they also have dyes just like Neutrogena Hydro Boost, but the hydro boost formula is way better, and the scent is actually very mild. and they actually do have an oxybenzone free formula now in the hydro boost line :) i always wear a mineral spf around my eyes, wait for it to dry, then layer the chemical spf to the rest of my face to avoid the stinging. works like a charm

My La Roche Posay Invisible Fluid never gets in my eyes. I don't mess around with U.S. products, even though I live in the U.S. I buy my sunscreen and skincare products like Toleriane and Rosaliac and Lipikar Lavante all from French websites and get them shipped overseas to me. The Toleriane products here are different than those from France, and much more expensive. No thanks. I just save up and order bulk from France, baby. Thank God for the global economy that lets me say F* off to the FDA. I'm not the only one either, judging by American sellers of Invisible Fluid and EVY in the U.S. on eBay. Even I sell some of these products on eBay. Not all of us can jump on a plane every six months to clean out French pharmacies. Also not all of us are as fearless as I am with my debit card. Also not all of us have a friend in Singapore who clued me in.
