I would not recommend anyone to do the giac certifications, they cost $2500 and only worth getting if a employee will pay for them or college.

@Stoneface_2 жыл бұрын
Stop stacking certs and get the experience. Experience is more important. Since you already have the security+, apply to noc/soc roles. Do labs as well. Also, you need at least 5 years to take the CISSP. It's not an entry-level cert...

@WithSandra2 жыл бұрын
I currently dont work as an EH anymore but as a Security Analyst, so the most hacking I do is for CTFs, and ik there’s a lot of really pro hacking channels on KZbin so I always figured it’d be best to learn from them instead lol (which i also do), but if you guys ever want a more beginner perspective for hacking/pentesting lmk! :)

Awesome video Sandra, I just need to ask when it comes to pentesting certs what do you think of the PNPT cert along with the jpet cert? I'm planning on taking one of these certs after I pass my Sec+. I'm hoping on becoming a pentester in the future.
@sackwhacker Жыл бұрын
I have these. Once you've done the Sec+, the next logical step is the eJPT -> PNPT -> eCPPT/OSCP. The earlier ones help build up your fundamentals.

@WithSandra2 жыл бұрын
I’m not familiar with the EJPT but thanks for bringing it up! I’m assuming its similar to the Pentest+? Though as a beginner, I’d go for certs that’re more mainstream only because employers specifically look for certain certifications on your resume and from their candidates, either way, any cert can put you a cut above those who dont have one. Good luck deciding and on the cert exam!😁
