Good tip - place your raisins in the tart before adding liquid. That way, they are relatively evenly spread. ❤

Thank you so much. I’ve never tried honey but it might work. But the golden syrup is really good. ❤️

I did buy the golden syrup. It is made by Rogers. Hope you find it. Dark corn syrup could possibly work.

I soak the raisins in Rum for 10 minutes. Why does the bottom of the tart seem greasy when cooked.

I try never to buy Rogers or Lantic products. In Canada they use the same UPC number they sell cane sugar under is also used unhealthy genetically modified sugar beet sugar to the unsuspecting people since no place on their web site is genetically modified sugar beets even mentioned being sold at all. in 3 provinces Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba this GMO sugar is sold to the unsuspecting people while the rest of the country gets cane sugar out of the same bag with the same UPC Number. I can't trust what other things they might be selling to unsuspecting customers. When I bought a bag of sugar it took me a long time to figure out it was the sugar making me sick because I had used that sugar for 71 years and prior to 2009 they always said they would never sell GMO products. Imagine how shocked I was. I can't trust this company anymore. Would you!
