Great video as always, doc, and right on time for me as I'm in the homestretch of age 54, lol! How about a video on what we should and shouldn't do when exercising with spinal osteoporosis? Or any information on osteoporosis? Thank you!

I really like this guy's classes. I just turned 60 this year and I noticed I was getting stiffer and more sore as time went on. Truthfully it started a few years ago. I started doing stretches and floor exercises like this a few months ago and it made a huge difference. I have now incorporated Kegel exercises into the mix as well. My total routine takes about 30 minutes and I do it every other day before I go on the elliptical machine in my garage. There were other things with me that were in play too. I had a lot of body inflammation going on. I know that because I was getting high numbers on blood tests. High liver enzymes, high cholesterol and high triglycerides. I've got all those numbers down now and every week I keep feeling better and better and more flexible. I have figured out that circulation and stretching your body is 100% required for me. Good job with these videos. Keep em coming!

Very interesting! I'm 52 and I do heavy lifting 1nce a week at this place I volunteer at💪🏽 Thanx to your videos, I've been finally able to eliminate chronic lower back pain that's been plaguing me for at least 13 years, by using my massage gun to attack the pain the at its root, which wasn't in my lower back like I always thought, but in my gluets😏🍑 As a result of getting rid of years of accumulated lactic acid, my posture self corrected and I'm more Powerful with less effort🦾

With a hernia along the spine, you don't want to do much bending toward the back. It will put pressure on the injury. Check with your doctor! 😊

I've been told several times over the past 15 years to NOT do triceps dips because that exercise puts your shoulders at risk for injury. Has that been "debuked" recently? I always liked that exercise but stopped doing it many years ago.

I have low back pain issues, will these exercises exacerbate my back pain?
@SweetStuffOnMonarchLane Жыл бұрын
I'm not a doctor, but the general rule I've always heard (and follow) about exercises and back pain is, if it hurts, stop... don't continue to do it, and if it feels good and is helping, keep doing it. Extremely important to stretch EVERY DAY. I have a set of stretches I do every day before I get out of bed, and it has made a huge difference in decreasing my back pain and the number of occurrences of it "going out."

Just wondering if you think people with low-back issues should do these exercises, and how many people over the age of 55 do you think are back-pain free?
@HLBear Жыл бұрын
I have back pain, but doing stretches and exercises within my pain limits builds up the muscle to support the spine. In the long term, even small exercises add up to benefits.
