For DMC4, Nero is a great introduction to the series. But a terrible introduction to Dante since it plops you in with four styles and a bunch of weapons, a drastic change from Nero who just had one weapon and style.

Famygdala you see that Dante still has Alastor. Issue is: why bother with a worse sword? Rebellion is larger and shown to be capable of greater feats of durability and sharpness and belonged to his father. I think he doesn’t sell or lose any of the weapons, he just sticks with the timeless ones he knows best and assumes he will get another set of them on this bid to save the world. He pretty much has to be used to it by now, after all he gets loads of em.

How 'bout this one: Lucifer, in mythology, are at some places referred to as the father of Belial, while Mundus is Berial's father. Lucifer, the devil arms in game, has the symbol of Mundus' three eyes on the skulls forehead. Hypothesis: Lucifer is the Devil Arm left behind from Mundus' defeat in dmc1

In addition, if you look closely, you can see that there are six sconces on the Adjudicator model total; 6 places for flames, totaling up to Smokin' Sick Style.

The demon world is in constant state of war , since their culture and sense of honor focus in "might makes you right". There is bound to someone strong as Mundus to appear or a challenger to take Dante's power. The whole plot of DMC5 is that the Demon Tree was seeded in the Human World and is drinking human's blood to bear a fruit , such a fruit would give anyone the power to be King of Hell.

One of the best rooms for Pandora that comes to mind is the street section in mission 17 with all the scarecrows, mega scarecrows, and the dogs eventually. You can literally post up at one end and fire the laser over and over and just rack up style, maybe mixing in a few drives here and there for fun. It's also very easy to max the disaster gauge for omen or the missile barrage if you like.

I think it might be that DMC4 is the best with characters, such as Dante's styles being mapped to the d-pad, but the levels and enemies are poorly designed around them, and DMC3 is alright with characters, but makes dumb choices like being stuck with a style until the end of the mission or until you find a statue, but the enemies are usually designed well around your abilities and the levels.

Trish's pandora is actually worse than Dante's. It lasts too long so a lot of enemies can wail on you, and it uses DT, which can be better at times, but, nah, she's all flash and no function. Dant'es is a quick laser that hurts just as much.

Seeing Pat Continue instead of using a Gold Orb hurts my soul knowing what it does to your Style ranking. I fucking hate the penalties DMC4 applies for continuing, it's WAY harsher than just powering through a boss fight with items even though using items is a lot easier to do.

I wouldn't know. I either killed everything or just restarted because fuck penalties. You're saying continuing costs more style than using a gold orb?You'd think they'd be equal, or the orb would cost more. I think the harshness is the point. You failed, so if you choose to continue from a checkpoint to avoid the punishment of having to start over, it will cost you, and if you use a gold orb to just get back up, it should cost you even more!

The ranking rating in this game is pretty bad overall

Yep, it's absolutely infuriating. Orbs found is a REALLY annoying stat to take up 1/3rd of your ranking, the Time ranking is so lenient that I've wandered around for an extra 10 minutes looking for a blue orb and still S ranked a stage's Time stat, and then there's the problem with continues nuking your style stat. There are three ranking criteria and all three of them have huge problems.

@@ZetaStriker0000 how is it infuriating when the timer is lenient enough to still get an S for at least collecting enough orbs, thats already 2 good ranks out of 3, the only thing left is to not die and do good in combat, how hard can that be?

I definitely think people who like Nero are fans of the genre. I can totally see why genre fans would still like Dante more because of the style switch, but I agree that Nero's hand makes up for that in a way, and that's makes me love playing as Nero anyway.
