@@jas_ajones07 There's nothing wrong with it - it's just a very high level developer, meaning it has a high percentage of peroxide. Developers (usually) come in 10, 20, 30 and 40 volume. 40 will bleach even the darkest hair which is why they use it in their product. It's sort of like a ' one size fits all' except it's never a good idea to use a higher volume than what you need , as the peroxide is very drying/damaging to the hair. Unless you have very dark brown or black hair I would go with a 20 vol

I love Splat!! It literally last on my daughters hair for 6 months before I had to redye it. We just don't use their bleach. We use Feria Ultimate Blonde or something like that, we only have to dye our dark brown hair 1 time to get it light enough for any color.

I used some 30-wash splat dye (ocean ombre to be specific), and it washed out and washed out and kept on washing out until it settled at a "dead teal-white" as I called it. Very ugly (tho my brother said it looked good once). I recently used Arctic Fox (aquamarine), and I've only washed it once so far. It has faded a shade or two, but based on what I've heard in this video, it should settle with a much more vivid color. Unfortunately, I absolutely HAVE to use conditioner. My hair is thick and course and is impossible to brush without conditioner. Also, my shampoo and conditioner smell really nice together, so I'd keep using it anyway.

Manic panic holds onto my hair. I do not understand how it washes out for some people. I've quit using manic panic for good. I've used blue, red, and purple. All of them especially the reds stain my hair. Nothing will get the stains out not even bleach for me. So now I'm sitting here this month with bleached hair which has a light red color throughout it that will not get out. Manic Panic would be great for me if I didn't like to switch up my hair color. But I do. And after using manic panic for a year I'm done. Everyone needs to remember that we all have different hair. Just as one person may have good luck with a hair product. Another it will not work. Just as one person swears by their hair care routine another person that same routine would leave their hair a mess. It's the same with hair dyes.

Splat doesn't last that long for me... But I did notice that purple lasted the longest... I used to use RAW from hot topic but then they switched to manic panic unfortunately... I have darker hair and with RAW I never needed bleach... The color would still come out bright AF. I don't think its around anymore :-( I can't find it.

don't wash your hair if you can help it. I never wash mine more than twice a week. and use color safe shampoo. But honestly, not washing it is the key to longevity

From my own personal experience, Ion's blue dye work miracles, but the reds and pinks dont really last as long. For eds and pinks I use splat for the best long lasting result, but everyone's hair is different.

About 8 years ago I used splat and it ruined my hair I do NOT recommend.. BUT now I’ve been using (and I recommend) manic panic for about a year now and I used “vampire red” and it was great, it was long lasting, my hair wasn’t damaged after and I actually had a hair dresser say the color looked good and I didn’t tell her but that was about 2 months after dying it.. also note my hair is a really dark brown and I didn’t bleach my hair at all

noa pierce some brands should do fine without bleach on your hair. These are the ones I found are vegan and have good dark pink shades. Color conditioner, Manic Panic, Arctic Fox. Here are some tips to make it last longer Washes hair with cold water, if you still like hot showers, by a shower cap, put your hair in a bun, put the hair in the shower cap. and you can have long hot showers, and wash your hair in the sink with cold water. Wash it less, I say every once-twice a week a most, get some dry shampoo and conditioner, to help maintain greasy hair if you get greasy hair easily. Put the hair dye in the conditioner so you can keep adding it to your hair. When styling use heat protect spray so the color isn’t very damaging from the heat. Its completely fine to leave the hair dye in when doing it yourself, completely safe and is known to make the color last longer.

I was a hairdresser at Aveda and the shade that my coworkers would give me for using splat...LOL. Here's the thing with splat- some people don't want the color to come out, myself included. Permanent hair color that actually stays in your hair??!! what a concept, I know. I would totally recommend splat for people who are dedicated to a certain color. You can mix the dyes for a more custom look and it's nice because what you see is basically what you get. Also, you don't HAVE to bleach the crap out of your hair if you don't want to. Splat covers up ' kind of ' bleached hair nicely as well as light virgin hair. Just make sure that's the color you want lol. Also I ALWAYS leave 'fashion' colors in overnight. There's no developer in them so they won't damage your hair.

Blue pigment in general lasts very long in hair, and it also stains the cuticle. If you tried other Arctic Fox colors, and they all lasted long okay, but this doesn't really prove anything.

Tatianita Zelda I’ve never personally tried it seeing I have such dark hair. If your hair is light enough for the color to show I’d say go for it. The only problem I’ve had is some of the purples staining my hair pink.

Play Account Sometimes it has to do with how you go about dying it! I’ve found when I put dye in my hair when it’s slightly greasy or has any conditioner or product in it, the dye does wash out pretty quickly! You also have to be careful about what shampoos you use and the temperature of the water when you wash your hair after dying! But everyone’s hair is different! :)

Probably depends on which color you used. Blue pigments (in hair, tattoos and virtually everything else) last the longest, while reds,oranges and pinks fade quicker.

Depends on the colour, it usually looks great for a week or two and then fades to an entirely different colour and that colour may or may not stain you hair, my fav is atomic turquoise which looks amazong for 1-3 weeks then fades to a disgusting green colour that stains, my least fav was cotton candy, it didn't hold AT ALL, one of my other favs was electric lizard, it probably actually held the best (3-5 weeks fuck all fade) And once it did fade it stayed green without going murky, it did stain my hair too tho

depends on how much you wash. it fades everytime you wash it, so after about 6 washes its almost gone, but it also depends on the color, the lighter it is the less itll last
