Best Homemade Beef Lasagna
1 1/2 lb ground chuck
1 can Hunt spaghetti sauce
1 can tomato paste
a little water to clean can
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 onion, chopped
lasagna noodles
granulated garlic to taste
onion powder to taste
oregano to taste
black pepper to taste
1 5 oz container Parmesan cheese, shredded (1/4 cup for cottage cheese mixture)
1 5 oz container Asiago cheese, shredded ( 1/ 4 cup for cottage cheese mixture)
1 5 oz container Romano cheese, shredded (1/4 cup for cottage cheese mixture)
2 6 oz bag parmesan cheese, shredded
1 24 oz container cottage cheese
2 eggs, well beaten
2 tablespoons parsley flakes
Dash white pepper
1 1/2 pounds mozzarella cheese, sliced thi
olive oil
water
salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown meat , onion, and garlic in a large pan that olive oil was added to. Then add oregano, onion powder, granulated garlic, and black pepper to taste. After meat is brown drain. Add more seasoning if necessary. Add spaghetti sauce and tomato paste. Rinse spaghetti sauce can with a little water and add to sauce. Cook, stirring occasionally 15 minutes with lid on to prevent splattering on the stove. In a large 6 quart pot, add water and salt. Bring to boil. Drop lasagna, singly in to pan. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking together. Boil for 12 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water. Combine eggs, cottage cheese, 1/4 cup each of Parmesan, Romano, and Asiago cheese, parsley flakes, and white pepper. Blend well. In a grease lasagna pan or 13 by 9 pan, arrange lasagna noodles in single layer. Spread with meat mixture and cottage cheese mixture. Sprinkle with a layer of Parmesan, Romano and Asiago cheese. Then add a layer of mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers ending with mozzarella cheese. Bakevat 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese melts and bubbly. Let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
