Actually the ZG trinket (ZHC) isn't a shitty ToEP. The shorter the fight is, the better it is. In a lot of situation it's better than ToEP. Keep that in mind. Great vid though!

Can you explain why the ToEP is so much better than the ZHC from Hakkar? After running sims, it looks like the ToEP is only better on fights that last long enough for 2 uses, but not long enough for 2 uses from the ZHC. Thanks!

So Zandalar hero charm starts higher on spell damage, but it drops off with each cast, so for continuous casting, TOEP is better, while for conflag 1shotting, the zandalar one is better. And yes, the cooldown is also better on ToEP if I remember correctly.

The belt will probably be Mage prio in a lot of guilds. The reason being that the tier 3 warlock belt is just a little worse than the BiS belt and the mage belt is a bit worse.

For helmet, the bloodvine goggles are probably the best alternative after t2.5. It doesnt have any spell damage, but it has hit and crit, which i see as more worth than the t2. the t2.5 shoulders are just amazing, mantle of blackwing would be a great option, but you can also get 15 spell dmg and 1 spell hit shoulders from the lord summons in silithus, which i would place as high almost as the blackwing mantle. full bloodvine is obvious, there's no discussion, and no options. glad you spotted the AQ20 ring. good. and the 3 cthun items, yep, no discussion. Rockfury or bracers of arcane accuracy, and if you cant get TOEP, the zandalarian hero charm is a decent option aswell, but tear is no discussion, the wand is obvious, but hard to get, so the ZG wand would be your other option, and they're very close, and for the weapons, its either the 1h offhand combo with femur and twin emps offhand, or the staff from the regalia. Really well done on this video. Really well done.

For the belt, the t2 belt is really good, and much easier to get, so that's something to keep in mind. =)

and yeah, you need engineering to get the bloodvine goggles, so I'd say engi tailoring as a raiding lock.

That was a great overlook and appreciate your feedback. I tried to do as much research and chat with fellow warlocks to make sure I wasn’t to far off on any items. I forgot about the bloodvine googles those are very nice skittle pricey and must have engineering but overall great head piece. I didn’t think about the lord summon shoulders those are a great option too!! Also the staff in aq is quite nice and prob what I will go for as I only got to beg the loot council gods once instead of twice lol. I’m happy u enjoyed the vid and love to see ur name pop up as I know I got good feedback incoming. :)

According to the lock class spreadsheet, 20 spell pen is worth ~75 spell power assuming boss has enough resist to make use of the penetration. If it doesn't, extra spell pen is literally worthless. I will definitely getting Don Rodrigo's for the 20 early on. Another note is that curse of elements and curse of shadow give 75 spell pen for free for the corresponding schools. The listed "bis" has only 10 spell pen. Therefore if the boss has more than 85 shadow resist you will be losing out on dps. The funny thing is that most bosses resists have been lost to time, and there is no addon or weakaura to calculate it like there was in vanilla. Sure one could be made, but it hasn't yet (I'd love to be proven wrong :D ). I'm thinking most aq bosses will have 100-150 resist, so plan for 70-80 spell pen max.

Oh wow I didn’t know the weight of spell pen was that high. I would be interested to see an addon if you ever found it to track the real time resistance on bosses also I might have to modify my bis list I appreciate that!

@@DaveTheGamer-detailedguides again, its only good if the boss has resistance to get rid of, so if it has 85 or less resist, then this list is accurate. The bosses *WITH* resist that we do actually know for a fact are: Azuregos and all the green dragon world bosses have 126, lucifron has 186, KT has 100, and Gehennas has 93. So you might actually be able to passively hit the resist limit without any other gear and just cursing the boss. If anyone could develop an addon/weakaura for resistance calculation i would love it, but IDK if that will happen.

There is a couple of things I think the min/maxers and parse chasers would disagree with you on but overall decent info. I would also recommend adding WHY you think something is better or bis and maybe try a priortize which slots to go after first (you did that bit with the helm)

I love the feedback Besides the trinket difference what other items might the min maxers look at differently I’m always looking for advice. As far as priotizing slots I did too 3 to go after first at end of vid but do u mean like as a secondary choice? That’s a good idea either way I can try that out for future vids

@@DaveTheGamer-detailedguides 14% Hit are (Cleared Naxx as a Warlock on LightsHope) overkill, once u gathered Items like Cthun Hands/Back/Ring and Neltharions Tear + most of the other Hit Items from AQ/ZG/BWL u can think about replacing it for more Spellpower (Trash Chest from AQ40 is Mandatory and Ossirian Pants/Twin Emperor Boots ... although u could replace those two with T 2.5 Pants and Thekal Boots but wouldnt recommend replacing both of them since it´s a close call anyway) U can also use your full T 2.5 Set in some Trash fights in AQ40/ Early Naxx. U don´t need that much hit on Trash Mobs and the 15% reduced mana costs on shadowbolts are really good in long fights ... for a decent amount of time Warlocks with T 2.5 outshined Bloodvine Warlocks in Trashfights by a mile

I had someone else just mention this and on longer fights the talisman is 100% better as u can use it twice. I will have to have my friends do some simulations to find out when is the best times to use each and make a spreadsheet for u guys. If anything they have to be so close to each other overall

Going from BWL, what upgrades can we pick up in AQ20 before getting stuff from AQ40? Is it only the ring?

The only things u really want are the Pants from Ossirian, maybe the 59 sp dagger and the Offhand from Moam (Crit gets more and more important). The one thing u want ASAP though is the Ring ... that´s the real price for Warlocks in Aq 20. Since running around with 14% Hit is kinda overkill, u can break up the Bloodvine set with Ossirian Pants/Aq40 Trash Chest/TwinEmperor Boots. U loose 2% Hit and 1% Crit but gain 22 spellpower and a decent amount of Stamina/Intellect. 10-12% Hit are what u should aim for before Naxx though ... so in order to do that u need almost all the other gear like Cthun Ring/Hands and Tear from Nef ... not an easy task to replace Bloodvine but u can aim for it :O

If you're BWL geared, yes the AQ20 ring is the only clear upgrade. In regards to Bloodvine, the thing that makes the set very difficult to pass up is not just the hit rating (obviously this is good) but the 2% crit if you have tailoring. Finding chest/pants/boots that make up for 4% hit AND 2% crit is what's tough.

Tier 2 helm? Mate what? If you aren't using nemesis 3p bonus anymore then there are many superior options to T2 helm before you get 2.5. How did you forget Mishundare? R10 helm / shoulders for 2 piece, or bloodvine goggles or the hexxers cover are all going to be superior before t2.5 . For gloves as alternatives youd want to use ebony flame > bloodtinged from zg > felcloth gloves over T2. Also ZHC sims better than TOEP, if the particular boss fight length isn't such that you'd get an additional usage out of TOEP due to its faster CD. Another good note is the staff from turn-in in AQ40 is almost as good as silithid femur + the offhand, and better than if you only have 1 of them.

The aq staff is also an excellent weapon that I will most likely go for as I only have to get one item instead of two. @@DaveTheGamer-detailedguides if you get 6 piece T3 and loatheb trinket. Try out fire spec. DS/emberstorm spec. All the buffs to fire dmg plus arcanite dragonling is amazing! Just immolate and scorch! 6 piece and trinket keeps your threat in check.

Great vid but I don't agree with couple things. The bracers only need revered and it's not that easy imo. Also it might be worth to get 6set T3 for the threat reduction and T3 belt is only 5 spell power lower so personally I am gonna skip the belt. Also the ring is also bis until end of classic so it's kinda important too.
