Best Incubator for Hatching Chicken Eggs | Reviewing Our Three Incubators

Love your enthusiasm on the auto egg turner!😹 I have always wanted to raise chickens. Just too scared to attempt. Seeing the both of you interact with your chickens in the chicken village helps take the fear out of it. Plus this is a pretty good informative video. Not that I ever plan to hatch chicken eggs, but you never know.

Raising chickens shouldn't be scary!! Hatching eggs has its downsides because you'll end up with about half roosters and need to figure out to do with them but keeping a little flock of chickens in your back yard is easy peasy!

Please don't be scared to raise chickens! There is so much info out there and it's so rewarding to have your birds, we love our ladies and our roosters, they've become a part of the farm family! We started out ordering 12 chicks from our local co-op and now we get a new group every Spring. We learn something new everyday but they are so worth it! Blessings 🙏

I've had various cheap popular incubators over the years, and I found that the best incubator is a broody hen

Right? There are things about it that we really like (good hatch rate, american made, etc) but it is pricey for something so small.

Hah! Truer words were never spoken. But since we turned it on 2 months ago we ended up moving it to the opposite side of the room so it was near the pellet stove and far from those drafty windows. Had to put a plain old table to hold the lamp up. how boring.

@@OldReddingFarm i know a couple of people who have had same results. Tractor supply is where we got them. I have a hard time leaving the eggs alone. Checking on the development of the chicks is hard to resist.

Excellent, this is good information to have. I'm considering hatching eggs for the first time next spring and I'll need to get an incubator. Do you know your hatch rate percentage with each one?

The only one who had a "bad" hatch rate was the middle sized one. That little round brinsea or the NR 360 is a similar size to that first one but it has auto egg turners and lots of people use that one with great success. I think that middle one is cursed though. :) If you do get an incubator in the spring let us know and we will send you some hatching eggs to get started on :)

I'm not a normal human being, and my house doesn't have normal temperatures since I heat with a wood stove, so what would be the best incubator for that situation.

Can totally relate to that! The gfq holds temp than any other smaller plastic incubator. That was the biggest problem we had with the two small round ones the big fluctuation in temperate in the house those small incubators couldn't keep their temps stable

Man, you got screwed on that 180 dollar incubator. I bought mine for 66 bucks and it automatically turned the eggs.
