just bought this computer, and its all set up from my old asus of 15 yrs old. takes a little getting used to but so far so good. in fact not olny me having bought one... the wife is next followed by my oldest daughter and her two kids. that means i will have to help them..4 in total get them set up and running. thanks for the review on this computer!

Hello from London! Great review! Short but very informative I agree about not needing a touchscreen on a laptop. I suppose ethernet ports are almost a thing of the past on new computers as they're SO thin. I'll have to get used to that.

ONLY hard drives, you never want to defrag and SSD. I've touched on it in previous videos but I don't have a dedicated video on it (yet) 👍

Is this laptop BIOS locked? I'm looking for a cheap laptop to play and experiment with different distros of Linux (Q4OS and MX Linux for starters). Would there be a better laptop for this purpose?

Vendors often work out discounts through their affiliates (like Amazon) based on interest and sales volume. Plus, Amazon returns are notoriously easy so I always recommend that route as well

Well, an external DVD player power up and Read correctly? I have two and they spun up, but they did not read them. I know the DVD is good because I use it on other computers. Any suggestions?

I have an HP external DVDRW that I bought from Walmart 100 years ago that has never not worked. Make sure the disc type is readable by your type of device and that the usb port is good

I have not disassembled it yet, so let me do that, and I will get back to you. To the best of my knowledge, it is fully user replaceable like most laptops, but I’d like to be sure first.

Doesn't sound bad at all. . . I would tend to be suspicious of the Processor. Is it even an i-3? I got an i-5 on purpose in my Acer Aspire. Don't think I will ever buy anything less than an i-5 again. And I do like the up-grade-abilty in my Aspire 5, as well.

It's an N95 Celeron quad-core. I wouldn't game on it, but for a small business, student or even some starting a KZbin channel, it'd be a great buy at that price 👍

It's a consumer grade quad core N95. Too many people focus on I-this or I-that. I focus more on the actual speed and power of the machine, with the caveat that it needs your specific needs. For a business or a student, this is absolutely perfect. For Call of duty....not so much 👍

Good for light to medium gaming. It's a budget machine, so I wouldn't count on the FPS being "Call of Duty" worthy

Off topic question - A friend gave me a new email address of his and when I sent him an email it bounced back trom me as undeliverable as there is no such address as well as a lot of information I do not understand. I tried another of my email accounts and the same thing. I phoned him and verified his address and all ok,. I got him to send me an email and I received it and replied all went well. I have has the same issue with a real estate agent as my local Health Canada/CFIA contacts. How does a Correct email not be recognized and get bounce back to me and many others I would presume? It seems impossible for this to happen in my way of thinking. Thanks

I'd say average vs any other standard 4 cell laptop battery. Obviously the more you do that requires power (gaming, high screen brightness etc) will eat into it more. I'd say 2.5/3 hrs on average usage

Hey can you help me if you can? My problem is that some guy was in mi Microsoft account a week or two ago and than I changed my password. And now every day he is trying to log in but he can’t because I changed the password. I don’t know how or why he wants to log in so hard and Im just scared. Should I contact the support?

If you've changed your password, not much else you need to do. They can't access your account now, so you're fine.

First you need to get past the BIOS password. Until you remove it, nothing else matters. Is this a password you put on the system or is it a system password that just started occurring?

Yes, I didn't put an bios password.I went to the bios after prepairing for automatic repair error at windows to try delete old windows and install new version of windows, When I went to change boot options it asked bios password Then, I tried online bios password decrypt website, Didn't work

I just received the Acemagic AX15. It is not a good product, regardless of low cost. The battery will not charge, not even overnight. The Windows 11 is unstable and hard to use or control. As the Windows programs get higher in number, the less control the user has. This laptop is not user friendly. Don't buy it.
