Really psyched for the Daytona 660 to start showing up at dealers. It's everything I've been wanting in a bike. ~100hp, non p-twin, a great power curve and comfortable riding position. I was planning on picking up a cbr650r as my second bike this spring but they have become very hard to get and I think the new Daytona is a better value being $500 cheaper. I also love that triumph went with classic sport bike stylings and didn't follow Yamaha and Suzuki with their transformer aesthetics.

True also I was leaning towards a CBR650r the 2024 looks amazing, but sadly it’s not coming to the US.

@@A1621994S wow somehow I hadn't heard the news about the cbr650r not coming to the states. That's really good news for triumph I guess as it was the Daytona's closest competitor.

@@adamnagel7436 they are very hard to get and have been for the last couple of years. Honda hasn't been sending very many of them to the U.S. dealers. There is only one listed for sale in my entire state.

@@adamnagel7436 Naah hell no they’re ugly man they have a weird bulbous look to them, more of an uncanny valley thing with them. I’m glad they fixed it in the 2024 model year. Also I’m really annoyed with the way Honda powersport conducts it’s business they send so few models over that it’s impossible to find anything decent which leads to dealership mark ups.

I had an original 'blade and a '98 one. Original one was a lot of fun to ride fast because it wanted to kill you over rises. Tank slappers aplenty. I've had a couple of RGV250's too. Light as a midge's fart and closing in on 140mph. They could easily lift the back end braking into a corner. RD500LC is the one I wish I still had. Also had a GSXR1100 slabside, ZXR750, ZX9R, GSXR1000K2, GSXR1000K5, ZX10R, CBR600, GSX550ES, RD250LC GS125. Current bike a mint 2700mile Hayabusa gen2 in black and silver. I love bikes me.

Indicators, or signal lights in North America, have to be Dot & SAE compliant. It only makes sense that manufacturers meet the standards of the largest economy in the world, the U.S., especially back in the 80s, 90s and early noughties when motorcycle sales were hot. It's just more cost-effective for manufactures to not swap them out for different countries that have different standards. Back in the day, riders would take them off and replace them with little signal lights that looked like buttons, or triangles.

when I was a kid, they weren’t referred to at 7:50 Hondas, they were referred to as Honda fours.. you could hear them a block away coming.. they were the beginning of motorcycles that could go coast to coast without leaking oil, without breaking down. The 1969 single cam two valve 750 had the most. they had 59 hp and you could never get the carburetors in sync, because there were four separate cables. I was a Honda dealership mechanic, I hated trying to synchronize those four separate cable models. if you are in love with your CB 750 air, cold, single cam, that’s great, you have a nice motorcycle, dependable, reliable. But if you are in love with your machine, never never never ride a modern motorcycle… The only new motorcycle I ever owned was a 1977 CB 750 F with the com star wheels, it’s still had the Kickstarter, and it was the only CB 750 single cam engine that was flawed Suzuki had just come out with their GS 750 that was outperforming the Honda and Yamaha and the Kawasaki. So Honda did a quick rush job to supposedly up the horsepower by going to larger valves and a hotter cam. As a result of the hotter cam and the larger valves, the valve guides were failing. That’s the only 750 single cam engine that had problems that I know of… they also made an automatic CB 750 for a while, it was a manual shift, but no clutch. I’ve never seen one or worked on one, but I knew they made one… hard to believe that 600 cc motorcycles today and for the past 10 years have been making double the horsepower of the original CB 750. The last year for the CB 750 single cam was 1978 in the United States. I really like tomorrow 1977 Honda, CB 750 f.. It was comfortable, it made enough power, although a friend of mine that had a 1975 Goldwing, we ran them off in several drag raced my CB 750 against his Honda Goldwing, it was not even close. That Goldwing silently just walked away from my Honda 750 super sport. That GL 1000 Goldwing the first year 1975. Nobody knew what to make of it. Was it a sport bike? Was it a universal Japanese motorcycle?.. I was roadracing motorcycles in the late 70s and 80s. RDs mostly. But I was at a road race track where there was a five hour endurance race on Saturday after the heat races for the sprint racers on Sunday. So after the heat races, the five hour race started. There were 903 Kawasaki, Z ones. a Ducati 600 Panta ( spelling?) Several RDs, Kawasaki triples, including a 750 kaw tripple.... buddies of mine were riding a Honda CB 400 F. There were several of those, there were about 35 motorcycles in this endurance race that was five or six hours long. there was also a Honda GL, 1000 Goldwing with flat bars, and number plates. That’s it, it was safety wired, it had the required overflow catch bottles, but it just looked like a regular street bike, which they all were pretty much. .. that race started, and after a few laps that Goldwing was in the lead, and it was extending the lead hour after hour. It was so strange to see that thing come out of the last corner onto the main straight which was 3500 feet long, and it was downhill for the last 1500 feet. It was eerily silent as it whizzed by on the main straight lap after lap after lap. I don’t know how much of a lead that thing had been it was the overall winner. That’s why nobody knew with the Goldwing was supposed to be… That was an AHMRR race at summit point raceway in Winchester, Virginia. One of my favorite tracks. anyway, getting back to the main subject, the original Honda, CB 750. If you are in love with your Honda, CB 750 from the 70s, do yourself a favor, never ride anything new. Motorcycles are so different. So much has improved

My R1200 GS motorcycle is the same when using the 12v tyre pump from the 12v outlet on the dash. So I installed a fused Anderson plug direct to the battery. Can Bus fuses are self resetting and seem the be very sensitive compared to regular fuses and Micro Circuit Breakers. (Says a sparkie who works on elevators and escalators) Sounds like the inverter output circuit is on the cars Can Bus network.
