Hi Shelly. Loved your faves! I totally love the Milani and Tarte blushes. The Milani is a little easier as it’s not quite as pigmented and adds a nice glow. The Tarte blushes stay on all day but they’re a little trickier to apply. Love the IT powder too!! Blessings to you beautiful lady!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉💝💝💝💝💝🎉🎉🎉

Yep I tend to prefer less pigmented as long as it is buildable. I feel like I have better control that way. My tendency is to go overboard and it's much harder to step back from too much product than to add more. I'm the same with eyeshadows!

Hi Shelly! New subscriber here! Just wanted to say that I really enjoy watching your content. You give off such a cool, laid back vibe. I'm 33 years old with super dry skin and you and I are the EXACT same shade in foundations! From what I've watched and compared mine too, they've all been the same! Feels so cool to be able to watch you and know what you recommend will more than likely work for me if you like it. Keep up the great work! I can tell you put a lot of time and thought and effort into your videos and it's much appreciated. ✌✌😊😊

Thanks, Misty! That's my favorite thing - finding a youtuber where you figure out where your skin tone is vs theirs. I haven't found anyone that's my tone AND dry skin, but I have figured out that I'm about 1 shade darker than ThaTaylaa, so I can usually figure out my color based on what works for her. It's so much easier to have some sort of reference because I order a lot of my foundations online, and you can never trust the little pictures of the colors!

theBalm's Balm Beach is listed as a blush, but for me it's the palest bronzer that I can actually go ham with no bad repercussions. And I think you'd like Clinique Pansy Pop blush (it's lavender) & it'd be banging with your L Geller highlight. 😍

Adding these to my list! It's more fun not to have to be super careful with makeup :-D

Yep, you need to try Laura Geller blushes. Either the newer gelato formula of the older blush n' brighten formula. All fantastic!

Omg I totally agree with you about Laura geller diamond dust highlighter! I swear to god that's literally the most beautiful makeup item I own. It's funny cause I saw ads for it when it first came out and I'm like ehhh just an icy white highlight nothing special. Then I swatched it in the store and holy shit. The pink iridescent shift is so stunning, I could stare at it all day lol
@goow7 жыл бұрын
I wasn't even a fan of highlight until I tried it!!! It was one of those half off Ulta specials during the last 21 days of beauty a year ago and I grabbed it on a whim.

You look very nice and younger in this tutorial. Like your videos. Watch you from Quebec in Canada.

Thanks, Guylaine! High on my bucket list is to take a ride on that coast-to-coast train through Canada. I also need to visit the Hockey Hall of Fame and I want to see hockey games in Vancouver and Calgary and Toronto! I've always said that I should've been born Canadian for my love of hockey, but I couldn't take the cold :-D

Thanks, Kelly! There are definitely some gems in there. The LA Girl blush (I think it's called "Just Blushing") would've been my 6th place blush. It's super natural and blendable. Very nice blush, especially for a few bucks!

I love Laura Geller face products (not so much the eye stuff). I def recommend her blushes, and her Supercharged Spackle primer is fantastic for my 46 y/o skin.

Yes! Am I the only one who was surprised that the "spackle" is a really creamy amazing lotion primer?!

Greetings, Shelly! I’m not big on bronzer. I found ONE SHADE I liked, but it’s a tiny, annoying pan in a trio palette. I purchased the Glam Bronze on your recommendation, and it’s an EXACT match for my favorite, in a massive pan! Thank you. ☺️
@goow7 жыл бұрын
Anytime!! I just hit pan on mine recently and, well, you know I wear it every freaking day!! And that's last summer's pan from 2016! I have a backup that I bought summer 2017 just in case they don't bring it back again :-D

Oh Shelly, so many things I wanna try (but so many that are hard to get here). Actually the only thing you mentioned in this video that I have is the Nyx Taupe blush - YES!! , and yes to using it as a contour. Of all the stuff I've tried, it really is the only thing I've found that works well for my pale cool skin.
@goow7 жыл бұрын
Favorites videos always replenish my wish lists!! :-D And how the heck are there not more good cool contours for pale skin? There are enough of us out there, yet we have to resort to blush. I haven't tried many others because when I find someone say a shade is a great contour, it's always part of some big palette where I'd never use the rest of the colors. I'm not spending $50 for ONE shade. Sigh. Someone needs to get on this!

I set my foundation with the Laura Geller powder too! It's so good. Laura Geller also has a baked-balance-and bronze that I use for bronzer and it's gorgeous too. Laura Geller brand doesn't get as much recognition on KZbin as it should, in my opinion. You really should check out more products from the brand. Do you have a PO BOX?

Hey Carol! I've been eyeing that LG brozner! I was able to get the LG holiday kit half off at Ulta - haven't dug into it yet. I'm building my collection for a full-face-Laura-Geller :-D I've got a PO Box in the info box!

I was suppose to get a mini Diamond Glow as a bonus in my Laura Geller order, but sadly it wasn't in the box when my order arrived😢 (2 months later with zero confirmation emails and no tracking 😬 ULTA, can't live with em, but can't live without em. They carry too many products I can't get in Canada!) BUT ANYWAY, I really am enjoying everything I ordered from Laura Geller. You aleady know how I feel about the Baked Balance and brighten 😱🎆🎉🏆🔥🚀⚡🎷🎵🎺📣 I am planning on ordering the fair one as a under eye brightening and setting powder, as the light is perfect for my face, but a bit too dark for under my eyes. I may as well pick up a gelato swirl while I'm at it! 😄 so far I have tried her baked powder, baked blush, a eyeshadow palette, a lip gloss, and the hydrating primer and I would say her brand, so far from what I can tell, is a home run and I'm excited to try more of it. BTW, This favourites video of yours may as well have been mine, with a few minor tweaks. My favorite It Cosmetics powder is the Celebrations Illumination and I haven't tried the LA Girl powder yet, but I use the exact same type of powder, just from Makeup Forever to set my undereyes the same way you use the LA Girl. I hear the Charlotte Tilbury powder compact is suppose to be great for dry skin. I haven't tried it yet, for fear of loving it, as it's another crazy expensive product. Xo
@goow7 жыл бұрын
LOL I'm so scared to try any more Charlotte Tilbury because I am so in love with the Goddess Skin mask!! My wallet starts shaking in fear every time I think about it! But I just saw one of her new blush/bronzer duos on Wayne Goss's channel and that man has a way of making me buy things......

NERDYBIRDIE 001 You know, I discovered something about myself this year. I buy eyeshadow palettes like a crazy psycho person and hardly reach for them! As I too have gotten more into skincare and base products my focus is there, buffing and blending and perfecting the face. Then when the time comes to do my eyeshadow I'm rushing to be finished and end up throwing a bronzer in the crease and a blush or highlight over the lid with a bit of a tight line and mascara. When I was younger I never used primer and my skincare routine was basic as basic can be. Moisturizer. If I was lucky it had sunscreen in it, but rarly was that the case. Boy have things changed! And sadly I am spending so much time and money trying to reverse the damage I did by not using sunscreen. I am all over my son's 16 year old gf to care for her skin properly now. She thinks I'm crazy probably as I am always spouting off the importance of sunscreen and proper skincare regiment like a mad woman. Sigh if only we could turn back time. Sooo many things I would do differently! I always love a good drugstore dupe, but sadly I rarely find one that lives up to the higher end option. Particularly with base products. I want to try that La girl setting powder though! The It bye bye pores was the first high end setting powder (besides Mac) I ever purchased actually. And I like the MUFE, but I feel like there is something better out there. I'm in LOVE with the Laura Geller so maybe that one in the lighter shade I'm thinking. Also I was to try the La Prairie powder. Expensive as they come, but I just gotta know what all the hype is about! And for a girl who is constantly on the hunt for the perfect none drying powder you would think I would have tried the famous Laura Mercier powders, but I haven't!

hi, shelly! me again, playing catch up - love laura geller products - now, sadly, not in my budget (unless she brings back pillow talk pink lipstick or i find a deal on ebay), pf is pretty good - is the pf translucent powder w/o sparkles? that may sound weird but looking for a budget friendly powder w/o sparkles. thanks for putting all of this together. i am loving these videos! ~k
@goow7 жыл бұрын
Hey Karen! In those Youthful Wear powders, the Spotless version does not have sparkles but the just regular translucent one does. Spotless has like purple dots on the lid - otherwise same packaging.

I bought the L'Oreal Glam Bronze on ebay for $7.99. I've never used it as contour....maybe I'll give that a try. :)
@goow7 жыл бұрын
I've seen them floating around Amazon, too! When I'm not doing a full coverage face but still want some definition, I just use the Glam Bronze where I would normally contour, as well as bronze. It works great! Anything to save a step :-D
@helpfulnatural7 жыл бұрын
I really like the cool tone of it but mine has a definite glow to it. It's subtle but it is there, kind of a soft pearly glow. I'll have to see how it would work as contour but I don't want shimmer there. :D

Now don’t be too jelly but I managed to snag a couple L’Oreal glam bronze in the Walgreen’s clearance aisle at the end of summer for....wait for it.....49 cents a piece 😳!

Side note, I’ve never heard you mention the KVD shade and light powder contour palette. I know you are a fan of the brand so I was curious if you have tried it? It is my holy grail contour shade (the lightest one), and the matte highlighting powders are great multitaskers. 👍🏻
@goow7 жыл бұрын
GAHHHHHHHHH I would have bought them all, LOL!!! I never see my CVS put limited edition things on clearance. They'll just leave the same old displays out for 3 seasons! But this spring, all of my local Rite Aid stores are turning into Walgreens, which was my absolute favorite drugstore when I lived in Chicago. Now I use CVS because I don't like Rite Aid so much - but once they convert, it'll be a tough decision whether I stick with CVS or switch to Walgreens. I really like the CVS beauty club. I'll have to compare it to Walgreens.
@goow7 жыл бұрын
I have seen the KVD contour palette, and I don't know why I haven't tried it yet because everyone loves it. In my head I think I feel like I'm wasting half of the colors in palettes like those because I know they'll be too dark for me and I don't do anyone else's makeup to use them. But I really should try it because I love her and heck, I've wasted money on ridiculous other things - I don't think supporting her brand would be a waste. OK, you've convinced me!!
@aeshroyer7 жыл бұрын
I know what you’re saying about wasting shades, fortunately that palette runs light enough that I can use the first two columns and the darkest one as my eyeshadow on no makeup makeup days. I actually found mine at TJ Maxx for 21.00 (I believe because they upgraded the packaging). Can you tell I love a deal? lol
@kristinfly24377 жыл бұрын
The KVD shade and light palette is awesome! I can only use the lighter shades too, but they are perfect for contour and bronze. I also use it as an eyeshadow palette too. If you can find it at tjmaxx or Marshalls in the old packaging, it is only 24.99!
