When i first saw Mallory's final scene in the finale of this season it made me think-"I can't think of a better way to end Mallory's arc in the series than to have her pass on the torch to Archer then live the rest of her days in retirement with Ron!" because in my opinion it was the perfect ending for Mallory as a character! Rest In Peace Jessica Walter, no one could ever voice a mother character as amazingly as you could!!!

I’m glad Mallory retired with Ron. He really cared for her. Just saddens me. Every season, I waited until I could binge all episodes across a winter weekend. Jessica leaves such a great and versatile legacy including Play Misty for Me, Arrested Development and Archer. I miss her.

Which I think means some of Archer's flaws (narcissism, hits on just about anything, drinks constantly,) but also she's an excellent tactician in the field. Even though it had been a while since she was on the ground, she still knows exactly what to do. Like how she got herself out when Barry kidnapped her, entirely relying on her own skills.
