Nice overview Nobby. If it wasn't for the fact that my days under a basha on the floor are done, I might consider it. Much prefer a tent on the floor, or a hammock under the tarp. I could probably knock up a similar system with my Green Hornet hammock under the Sargasso tarp with a bit of a ground sheet, if I take off the end straps. I hope you rewarded Mrs Bramblehead with a slap up meal for inconveniencing her so much.
@Nobby773 жыл бұрын
Best of both with this Andy, protection of the tent with the versatility of a tarp, loads of room in the mesh inner as well. Still nowhere near hammock standards tho. Love my sargasso and green hornet but rarely sees the light of day as tarps like this one pack down to a fraction of the size and my DIY hammock is more comfy with a smaller pack size. You've convinced me to get that set up out again, don't like kit sitting dormant.

If the zips don't say "YKK" then they aren't. It is hard to tell but I did get the impression that Bramble Head was a little cheerier than her usual self in this one lol Looking forward to seeing your next outdoor adventure. Like the tent/tarp hybrid thingy, i wouldn't fancy it on a windy hillside, or putting it up in the pissing rain in a hurry. But a good option for a woodland camp with the open fronted shelter. Hows ya training going for your grand tour? And did u swap out your razor blade saddle for a gel one?
@Nobby773 жыл бұрын
Training is not really happening, I don't get on with gel saddles I find them more uncomfortable than the razor blade. The bib set has helped tho. I reckon she'll hold up alright in the wing with the right pegs and pitch

You can get 2 standard width roll mats next to each other but I wouldn't recommend for 2 people unless you were very close. Sorry I don't have a measurement at hand. Got to say after using it a few times I do enjoy it, and it gives you a decent sized stand alone tarp.
