My grandmother was born there 1900 and grew up there, her family of 5 children including her dad, step mom and 5 stepchildren came here 1918 or so to Alberta, Canada. My sister saw the stone cottage she lived in, now used for animals.

Beautiful film. Totally captures the magic of Bute…and the magic of four legs and two.

Lived on Bute, May 1993-Aug 2000, wasn't as many signposts and organisation back then, but still lovely hikes and cycle routes, often having to find your own way through. Was pre-internet and drone days ! Enjoyed your video. Anyone spot the strange man at 5:50 ! ( the grass to the left of the path ) ATB

Many thanks for this cinematic portrayal from many fresh angles; which has helped this dude, who has been living here for a few years now to appreciate the natural beauty of this miniscule portion of Blue Planet Earth, even more than hitherto.

Just read your story in the ‘about’ section. What an interesting life you lead. This was a gorgeous film. Loved the seal shots and also the drone over the woods. Thanks for sharing 🍻

That beautiful Isle of Bute Community owned forest, has since been clear cut; another instance of eco vandalism. Why?
